Description

Quickstart
- Craft all four pieces using Paper (and one Phantom Membrane for the leggings) — recipes are unlocked as soon as you join the world.
- Equip the full set in all four armor slots.
- Crouch (Shift) to activate the cardboard box disguise — you turn completely invisible and your armor vanishes from view.
- Stand up to cancel the disguise and reappear.
Overview
Cardboard Phantom Armor is a deceptively humble-looking armor set crafted from paper and phantom membrane. Despite its flimsy appearance, it outperforms Netherite in raw protection and adds a unique stealth mechanic: crouch while wearing the full set to become completely invisible to both enemies and other players.

Cardboard Box Disguise
When you have all four armor pieces equipped simultaneously:
- Crouch (Shift) → Activates invisibility. You become fully invisible to mobs and other players. Your armor pieces are also hidden from view while the effect is active.
- Stand up → Cancels the disguise immediately and you reappear.
The invisibility refreshes continuously each tick while you remain crouching with the full set on, so it stays active as long as you hold crouch. Removing any piece of the set while crouching will cause the effect to expire naturally.
Progression And Strategy
- The set requires only Paper and a single Phantom Membrane, making it accessible very early — paper is craftable from sugar cane, and phantom membrane is obtainable after your first few sleepless nights fighting Phantoms.
- With 28 armor points and 16 toughness, the set beats Netherite's 20 armor / 12 toughness, making it one of the strongest defensive sets available despite its cheap materials.
- Use the crouch-to-vanish ability to escape dangerous situations, ambush enemies, or move through PvP areas undetected. Your armor disappears visually along with your character, so opponents get no visual hint that you're protected.
- Plan your movements carefully — standing up immediately cancels stealth, so avoid accidental inputs while hidden.
