Description
Cactus Forge adds a compact gear progression that turns ordinary cactus into a usable metal: smelt or blast cactus into cactus ingots, then craft a Cactus Sword, a heavy Knockback Club, and a full set of cactus armor. The weapons use cactus tool stats and the club delivers powerful extra knockback for crowd control, while the helmet, chestplate, leggings, and boots are repairable with cactus ingots and wearing the full set periodically grants Resistance and Strength for tougher survival and exploration. Start by harvesting cactus and processing it at

Quickstart

- Craft a Cactus Sword or Cactus Knockback Club and a full armor set from Cactus Ingots.
- Equip all four armor pieces to start receiving periodic Resistance and Strength buffs.
Overview
Cactus Forge turns the humble cactus into a functional metal tier. Smelt raw cactus into ingots, then forge weapons and a complete armor set. The mod is compact by design — one material, one processing step, and a tight set of gear with a crowd-control twist via the Knockback Club. All items appear in their own Cactus Forge creative tab.

Abilities And Mechanics
Weapons
- Cactus Sword — Deals damage on par with a standard sword using cactus tool stats. Good all-purpose melee weapon.
- Cactus Knockback Club — Slower attack speed than the sword but delivers significantly stronger knockback. Great for knocking mobs off ledges or keeping enemies at a distance.
Full Armor Set Bonus
Wearing all four cactus armor pieces (Helmet, Chestplate, Leggings, Boots) at the same time grants periodic status effects approximately every 4 seconds:
- Resistance I — Reduces incoming damage.
- Strength I — Increases melee damage dealt.
The effects are applied silently (no ambient particles) but the buff icon is visible in your HUD.
Repairing Armor
All cactus armor pieces can be repaired in an Anvil using Cactus Ingots, keeping your gear maintained without needing to recraft it.
Progression And Strategy
- Early game — Cactus is available from the start in desert biomes and requires no mining. This makes Cactus Forge gear accessible very early, before iron is plentiful.
- Weapon choice — Use the Sword for quick combat and the Knockback Club for crowd control or pushing mobs away from your builds and into hazards.
- Commit to the full set — The Resistance + Strength bonus from wearing all four armor pieces is strong. Prioritize completing the armor set over crafting both weapons.
- Sustain — Keep a supply of Cactus Ingots on hand to repair your armor at an Anvil and maintain the set bonus over long play sessions.
