Description
Fake Things fills your world with harmless impostor versions of common hostile mobs. Each fake looks and sounds almost identical to its real counterpart, but none of them can actually hurt you. Instead of attacking, they run away, flinch, or perform a fake version of their signature move. They're a surprise encounter — most of the time you'll meet a real hostile mob, but occasionally you'll stumble on one of these tricksters instead.
| Mob | Based On | Behavior Twist |
|---|---|---|
| Fake Creeper | Creeper | Starts its fuse and hisses like it's about to explode, then "detonates" harmlessly with no explosion, blast damage, or block destruction — before fleeing. |
| Fake Zombie | Zombie | Cannot attack; flees from whoever hits it. Drops a redstone item named "blood" when it dies. |
| Fake Skeleton | Skeleton | Fires arrows that deal no damage but still knock you back; flees when struck instead of fighting. |
| Fake Enderman | Enderman | Never teleports aggressively or attacks; can't actually be provoked by staring. If you stare at it long enough, it may greet you with a friendly chat message. |
All four mobs use the same appearance, sounds, and animations as their vanilla equivalents, so you generally can't tell them apart from a real hostile mob until you interact with one.
There's no crafting or equipment tied to these mobs — they're an environmental surprise rather than a resource to farm. The main "game" is recognizing them before or during a fight:
