Builder Command Toolkit

Quickstart

Craft a Builder Wand at a crafting table using the recipe below. Use it without targeting a block to open the Builder Toolkit menu. Choose Copy build, Fill solid, or Fill hollow, then use the wand on blocks to select the required points:

  • Copy build: use it on two opposite corners of the source, then on the destination corner.
  • Fill solid or Fill hollow: use it on two opposite corners of the area to fill.

You can also open the menu with /bct:toolkit. To get command-only building items right away, use /bct:giveall.

Overview

Builder Command Toolkit is a set of in-game building tools for copying and filling block regions, getting special items, and moving around by coordinates. Its Builder Wand menu also includes player movement and collision controls.

What It Adds

  • Builder Wand: opens the toolkit and selects build points.
  • Region tools: copy builds, or fill an area with a solid block or a hollow shell.
  • Special items: gives command-only building items, including command blocks, structure blocks, barriers, light blocks, and more.
  • Player tools: switches collision off or on and teleports to coordinates.

How To Use

Copy a build

  1. Open the menu with the wand or /bct:toolkit, then choose Copy build.
  2. Use the wand on the first and opposite source corners.
  3. Use it on the destination corner. The selected source region is cloned there.

Fill an area

  1. Choose Fill solid or Fill hollow.
  2. Use the wand on two opposite corners of the area.
  3. Solid fill replaces the region with the selected block; hollow fill makes a shell and leaves the interior empty.

The default fill block is stone. Choose Set fill block to select stone, cobblestone, dirt, oak planks, glass, bricks, white wool, or sand. You can enter a custom namespaced block ID, such as minecraft:stone.

Get special items

Choose Command-only items in the toolkit menu. The Creator Inventory menu gives individual items, opens More Special Items, or gives the full set. In the second menu, Give Any Item ID lets you enter a namespaced item ID, such as minecraft:command_block.

Use player tools

Choose Player Tools to switch to spectator mode with Collision OFF (spectator). Choose Collision ON (restore mode) to return to the game mode you had before switching. If you were already in spectator mode, there is no saved mode to restore.

Crafting And Obtaining

Craft the Builder Wand at a crafting table:

minecraft:gold_ingot
minecraft:amethyst_shard
minecraft:stick
minecraft:stick
Arrow
com_builder_command_toolkit_gcox2a7g:builder_wand

The toolkit can also be opened with /bct:toolkit, without using the wand.

Abilities And Mechanics

  • Wand-selected corners include the blocks you target. A selected region can contain at most 32,768 blocks.
  • The destination point for a copy is the corner where the cloned region begins.
  • Solid filling replaces existing blocks in the selected region.
  • Give All Special Items provides command blocks, chain and repeating command blocks, structure and jigsaw blocks, barriers, light blocks, mob spawners, allow and deny blocks, a border block, structure void, end gateway, camera, and knowledge book.
  • Coordinate teleporting uses /bct:goto_xyz <x> <y> <z> and keeps you in your current dimension. X and Z must be between -30,000,000 and 30,000,000; Y must be between -64 and 320.
  • If a build or item operation fails, check command permissions, coordinates, and the block or item ID you entered.

Progression And Strategy

Start with a small region to get a feel for selecting corners, then try larger copies or hollow fills. Set the fill block before selecting a fill area, and use Give All Special Items when you want several of the toolkit’s building items at once.
