Quickstart

• Find a Bubblewing Guardian in a plains, forest, or meadow during bright conditions, or use its spawn egg from the Creative inventory.
• Feed it golden carrots or salmon to tame it.
• Once tamed, it follows you and helps fight nearby monsters. Try letting it spot a monster, or hold a fire charge and interact with the guardian to make it burst bubbles at a nearby monster.

Overview

Bubblewing Guardian adds a tameable flying companion. It hovers as it travels, follows its owner, and attacks monsters with bubble bursts that deal magic damage and knock targets back.

What It Adds

• Bubblewing Guardian: A flying mob with 26 health.
• Spawn egg: Available in the Creative inventory.

Guardians can naturally appear on the surface in plains, forests, and meadows, usually alone or in pairs.

How To Use

• Tame: Feed a wild guardian golden carrots or salmon.
• Travel together: A tamed guardian follows its owner. It cannot teleport, so keep it nearby as you explore.
• Fight: Guardians attack nearby monsters and can defend themselves or their owner when attacked.
• Trigger a burst: Hold a fire charge and interact with the guardian. If a monster is nearby and in view, the guardian attacks it. Bursts have a short cooldown.

Abilities And Mechanics

A bubble burst hits one target with 6 magic damage and knocks it back. The guardian needs a clear line of sight, and its bubble attack reaches up to about 12 blocks.

Progression And Strategy

Tame a guardian early if you want a hovering companion that can help with monster encounters. Stay close while exploring so it can keep up, and use the fire-charge interaction when you want it to target a nearby monster.
