Bronze Button Golem

Quickstart

1. In Creative mode, find the Bronze Button Golem spawn egg in the Spawn Eggs tab and use it on the ground.
2. Place a copper button nearby, connected to something you want to activate, such as a redstone lamp or door.
3. Give the golem a moment to wander. It will seek out and press nearby unpowered copper buttons.

With commands enabled, you can also spawn it with /summon bronze-button-golem-nmyadu67:bronze_button_golem_nmyadu67 ~ ~ ~.

Overview

The Bronze Button Golem is a friendly, wandering mob that presses copper buttons on its own. Its button presses work like normal button activations, so you can use them to trigger redstone contraptions.

What It Adds

• The Bronze Button Golem mob.
• A spawn egg for placing the golem in the world.

How To Use

Set up a copper button and any redstone mechanism you want it to activate, then spawn the golem nearby. Keep the button accessible and close: the golem searches within about 7 blocks horizontally and 3 blocks vertically, and may wander away while roaming.

The golem acts autonomously. There is no special player interaction for directing or activating it.

Crafting And Obtaining

The spawn egg is available in the Creative inventory’s Spawn Eggs tab. No crafting recipe is provided for the golem or its spawn egg.

Abilities And Mechanics

• The golem wanders and periodically looks for the nearest unpowered copper button.
• It presses copper buttons, including copper button variants. It ignores other kinds of buttons and buttons that are already powered.
• It is peaceful and does not target mobs. It may look at nearby players while roaming.
• After pressing a button, it waits a few seconds before seeking another.
