Bluefire Wardblade
Quickstart
- Enter the Nether and head near its center. The arena appears near coordinates
0, 0; an arena-locating command is available to admins. - Approach the arena’s central dais. The Bluefire Spirit appears automatically when you get close. The encounter also reveals a vault beneath the dais, with two chests containing 2–6 netherite ingots total.
- Defeat the spirit and collect its Bluefire Ashes. Use 1 ash, 2 netherite ingots, and 2 netherite blocks to craft the Wardblade at a crafting table.
- Hold the Wardblade and use it to send a rising column of blue fire ahead of you. Its cooldown is shown on-screen while the blade is selected.
Overview
Bluefire Wardblade centers on a Nether arena, its powerful guardian, and a cache of hidden netherite. The arena is placed near the Nether’s center, and approaching its dais starts the encounter.

How To Use
In the Nether, you can look around the area near 0, 0 for the arena. Admins can run /com_bluefire_wardblade_u5dc72gr:locate_arena to get arena coordinates.
Get close to the dais to trigger the fight; no separate interaction is needed. The vault is beneath the dais, and its chests are filled when the encounter starts.
Crafting And Obtaining
The Bluefire Spirit drops 4 Bluefire Ashes, with Looting able to increase the drop. The Wardblade recipe uses one ash, two netherite ingots, and two netherite blocks:
Abilities And Mechanics
- Melee: The Wardblade deals 8 damage and sets the target on fire for 4 seconds.
- Bluefire Column: Use the sword to erupt a column of blue fire about 2.5 blocks ahead. It rises up to 12 blocks, damages creatures in its path, and sets them on fire. The ability deals 40 magic damage and has a 30-second cooldown; the on-screen timer appears while you hold the blade.
- Bluefire Spirit: The boss has 800 health and deals 8 damage with its melee attack. Successful hits can also trigger a bluefire column at its target; this attack can occur at most once every 12 seconds.
Progression And Strategy
Prepare for a lengthy boss fight, and watch your position: the spirit can unleash a column where you stand. Keep moving to get clear of the rising flames. The Wardblade’s own column is narrow, so aim it ahead at your target and keep nearby creatures out of its path.
The vault’s netherite is available when the encounter begins, but the spirit remains a threat while you explore beneath the dais.
