Mod Wiki
Blue Blood Apocalypse
Quickstart
Start a survival world — the apocalypse runs automatically in the background, no setup needed.
Watch the action bar for your current Day, Evolution %, and warnings for Blue Blood Moons and Dead Zones.
Craft a Blue Blood Machete () early for melee defense.
Craft a Scrap Rifle () for ranged firepower — right-click/use to fire a damaging blast at nearby monsters.
Fight zombies to loot Military Rations, Blue Med Injectors, and Clinic Keycards.
Use a Clinic Keycard to crack open a rare loot cache wherever you're standing.
Survive as long as possible — the longer you last, the stronger and more numerous the zombies become.
Overview
Blue Blood Apocalypse turns ordinary survival into an escalating zombie siege. Every regular zombie in the world is replaced by one of several dangerous mutant variants, all of which grow stronger the longer the game goes on. Periodic "Blue Blood Moons" trigger extra-tough waves, and certain areas of the map act as "Dead Zones" — clinic and hospital-themed hot spots with denser spawns and better loot.
What It Adds
Zombie Variants — regular zombies are automatically converted into one of these types:
Variant
Notes
Fast Zombie
Common, quick attacker
Crawling Zombie
Common, low profile
Police Zombie
Drops keycards and melee weapons
Military Zombie
Drops rations, rifles, and machetes
Special Ops Zombie
Rare, elite loot drops
Mutant Zombie
Appears from day 35 onward
Nuclear Zombie
Rare, appears from day 50 onward, most dangerous
All variants can spawn as villager look-alikes occasionally, travel in small groups, break down doors, climb, and can be ridden by smaller "baby" versions as jockeys.

How To Use
Blue Blood Machete: Hold and swing like any sword to deal melee damage.
Scrap Rifle: Equip and use (right-click / trigger action) to blast nearby monsters within range; damage scales up as the apocalypse progresses.
Blue Med Injector: Use to instantly heal and gain temporary damage resistance.
Military Ration: Eat to restore hunger; can always be eaten even when full.
Clinic Keycard: Use it on the ground to spawn a cache of rare loot at your location — a good way to gear up quickly.
Keep an eye on the on-screen action bar, which constantly reports:
The current Day and overall progress toward the apocalypse's peak.
The Evolution %, representing how strong zombies currently are.
Whether it's a Blue Blood Moon (occurs roughly every 7th day), which boosts monster strength and spawn rates.
Whether you're standing in a Dead Zone — a scattered set of danger zones themed around hospitals/clinics with denser zombie spawns and access to rare loot.
Crafting And Obtaining
— Blue Blood Machete
— Scrap Rifle
All other items (Blue Med Injector, Military Ration, Clinic Keycard) are not crafted — they are found as loot drops from defeated zombies or from clinic caches opened with a Clinic Keycard.
Abilities And Mechanics
Escalating Difficulty: As in-game days pass, zombies gain increasing amplifiers of Strength, Resistance, Speed, and (during Blue Blood Moons) Regeneration. By later days, encounters become extremely dangerous.
Automatic Zombie Replacement: Any vanilla zombie that spawns in the world is immediately swapped for one of the mod's mutant variants, so the whole world is affected once you're in a survival session.
Blue Blood Moons: Every 7th day is a Blue Blood Moon — spawns double and zombies get bonus regeneration and visible strength particles.
Dead Zones: Certain regions of the map (determined by your coordinates) are flagged as clinic/hospital dead zones, tripling normal zombie spawn rates and granting a warning on your action bar. These are worth exploring for above-average loot, but expect to fight harder.
Elite Threshold: Starting around day 35, Mutant Zombies begin appearing; from day 50 onward, Nuclear Zombies — the toughest variant — start showing up.
Progression And Strategy
Early game: focus on crafting the Blue Blood Machete and Scrap Rifle, and hunting basic zombie variants (Fast, Crawling, Police, Military) for rations and keycards.
Mid game: use Clinic Keycards liberally to open loot caches for upgraded gear, and start engaging Special Ops Zombies for their high-value drops.
Late game (day 35+ and especially day 50+): expect Mutant and Nuclear Zombies with heavy buffs. Stock up on Blue Med Injectors for sustain, and avoid melee-only combat against high-evolution enemies — the Scrap Rifle's area damage becomes essential.
Blue Blood Moons and Dead Zones are the best (and most dangerous) opportunities for loot — approach prepared with healing items and a full weapon loadout.
