Blue Blaster Beast

Quickstart

• Find a Blue Blaster Beast on the surface of a bright cold, taiga, or snowy biome, or use its spawn egg from the Creative inventory. You can also summon it with /summon com_blue_blaster_beast_6hlolzog:mycustom.
• Hold a bone and interact with the beast to try to tame it. Keep trying if it doesn’t tame on the first bone.
• Once tamed, it follows you. If something other than its owner attacks it, it retaliates automatically: it swipes at nearby attackers and blasts those farther away.

Overview

The Blue Blaster Beast is a blue-striped, tamable companion with 30 health (15 hearts). It can walk over water and open doors, but it does not teleport to catch up with its owner.

What It Adds

• The Blue Blaster Beast mob and its Creative spawn egg.
• Automatic close-range swipes and a blue-flame blast.

How To Use

Feed the beast bones until it is tamed. A bone has a 35% chance to tame it, so you may need several. A tamed beast follows its owner, stopping nearby when close and following again when the owner moves farther away.

There is no attack button to use: the beast retaliates when it is hurt by an attacker other than its owner. It won’t target other Blue Blaster Beasts.

Crafting And Obtaining

There is no crafting recipe. Find beasts on bright surfaces in cold, taiga, or snowy biomes, typically in groups of one or two, or use the spawn egg in Creative.

A player kill can yield up to two leather. Players also have a 20% base chance to get blue dye; Looting improves the dye chance.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Paw swipe: Attacks nearby targets for 6 damage.
• Blue-flame blast: Attacks targets up to 16 blocks away for 7 damage and knocks them back. The beast needs a clear line of sight to attack.

Progression And Strategy

Tame a beast before bringing it along as a companion, and let it stay close enough to follow. In a fight, keep its attacker visible and within range: it uses its swipe up close and its blast at a distance.
