Blooming Creeper

Quickstart

1. Find a Blooming Creeper spawning naturally at night in any biome where regular Creepers appear, or use the Blooming Creeper Spawn Egg (found in the Spawn Eggs creative tab) to place one immediately.
2. Keep your distance — it hisses and chases you just like a normal Creeper.
3. Let it explode near some open ground and watch it scatter petals and leave a patch of colorful flowers instead of a smoking crater.
4. To see the baby variant, wait near an adult Blooming Creeper — there is a very rare chance a tiny baby will appear on its own.

Overview

The Blooming Creeper is a floral-themed hostile mob that replaces the typical Creeper explosion with a burst of color. Its body is covered in blossoms and it radiates a springlike aesthetic. While it behaves identically to a vanilla Creeper in terms of chasing and fusing, its explosion is entirely decorative — scattering petals and planting flowers rather than obliterating terrain. It spawns alongside regular Creepers in the world, making encounters a little more scenic and a lot less destructive.

How To Use

Natural spawning: Blooming Creepers spawn at night on the surface in any biome that already supports regular Creeper spawning. They are part of the monster spawn group and appear in groups of up to four.

Spawn egg: Use the Blooming Creeper Spawn Egg (green base with pink spots) from the Spawn Eggs creative tab to place one anywhere in creative mode.

Abilities And Mechanics

Floral Explosion

When a Blooming Creeper explodes, it does not destroy blocks. Instead, the explosion scatters petals and plants colorful flowers on nearby surfaces. Flowers that can appear include dandelions, poppies, blue orchids, alliums, azure bluets, red/orange/white/pink tulips, oxeye daisies, cornflowers, and lily of the valley.

Baby Blooming Creeper

Adult Blooming Creepers have a very rare chance to spontaneously cause a baby Blooming Creeper to appear nearby. Only one naturally spawned baby is allowed near a given adult at a time. Baby Blooming Creepers are visually smaller (about half the size of an adult), use a distinct texture, and make a unique high-pitched hiss sound.

Breeding

You can also trigger a baby Blooming Creeper to spawn by feeding the appropriate breeding ingredient to a Blooming Creeper. Once fed, the adult enters a ready state and will breed either with another nearby Blooming Creeper or with a regular vanilla Creeper to produce a baby. Heart particles and a soft hiss confirm the interaction. Baby Blooming Creepers born this way count toward the one-baby-per-adult natural limit.

Progression And Strategy

• Low-risk exploration: Because Blooming Creeper explosions leave flowers rather than craters, encountering them is far less punishing than a regular Creeper — though they will still deal damage if you're in the blast radius.
• Decoration: Allow Blooming Creepers to explode in gardens or near your base perimeter to naturally scatter a variety of flowers across the ground with no effort.
• Baby farming: Keep an adult alive and nearby to occasionally collect baby Blooming Creepers. Feed the adults to trigger breeding on demand if you want to speed up the process.
• Coexistence tip: Blooming Creepers spawn at the same rates and locations as regular Creepers, so standard mob-proofing (lighting, walls) applies if you want to keep them out of your builds.
