Bloodstone Horned Armor

Quickstart

1. Get a full set of netherite armor (helmet, chestplate, leggings, boots).
2. Get a Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template and one Redstone Block per armor piece.
3. Use a Smithing Table to combine your netherite armor piece + the smithing template + a redstone block. This produces a Bloodstone Horned Armor piece.
4. Equip all four pieces and go test it against fire, lava, and explosions.

Overview

Bloodstone Horned Armor is a massive redstone-infused upgrade to netherite armor. It looks like a spiked, blood-red variant of netherite gear and offers dramatically higher protection, toughness, and knockback resistance than anything else in the game, plus special resistance to fire and explosions when worn as a complete set.

Each piece is an upgraded form of its netherite counterpart, found in the Combat creative tab.

Crafting And Obtaining

Every piece is made using a Smithing Table, following the same pattern as upgrading iron armor to netherite — except the "netherite ingot" slot is filled with a Redstone Block instead, and the base item is netherite armor rather than diamond armor.

You will need:

• A full netherite armor piece (helmet, chestplate, leggings, or boots)
• A Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template
• A Redstone Block
• A Smithing Table

Abilities And Mechanics

• Massive Armor Values: Each piece provides roughly five times the armor and toughness of its netherite equivalent, along with greatly increased knockback resistance.
• Explosion Knockback Resistance: Wearers are far less likely to be launched by explosions, making this armor ideal for surviving TNT, creepers, or the Nether/End's more dangerous encounters.
• Set Bonus – Fire Resistance: When all four pieces (helmet, chestplate, leggings, boots) are worn together, the wearer continuously receives Fire Resistance, granting immunity to fire and lava damage as long as the full set stays equipped.
• High Durability: Each piece has durability far beyond netherite gear, so the set holds up for extended use before repairs are needed.
• Armor pieces can be repaired and enchanted like standard armor.

Progression And Strategy

This is an end-game armor set intended for players who already have full netherite gear. Focus on collecting redstone blocks and smithing templates in bulk before upgrading. Equip the entire set together to unlock the fire resistance bonus — wearing only some pieces still grants strong armor stats but not the fire immunity effect. This armor is especially useful for Nether exploration, lava-heavy builds, and combat against explosive enemies like Creepers, Ghasts, and the Wither.
