Description:
.mcaddon to a world (both behavior and resource packs required)./locate biome com_bloodmoon_zombie_wastes_kworzile:bloodmoon_wastes to find the Bloodmoon Wastes biome and teleport there.Bloodmoon Wastes Horde transforms a portion of the Overworld into a hostile, apocalyptic wasteland. The Bloodmoon Wastes biome replaces normal plains terrain with eerie twisted water, grass, and foliage colors, a deep red foggy sky, and unique surface blocks. Every night, a script-driven horde system sends escalating waves of Bloodrot Zombies after every player. Survive long enough and every seventh night locks the world into a permanent nighttime thunder storm — the Blood Moon — with overwhelming hordes and powerful buffs on the undead. The longer you survive, the harder it gets.
A plains-replacing Overworld biome featuring:
/locate biome com_bloodmoon_zombie_wastes_kworzile:bloodmoon_wastes| Block | Description |
|---|---|
| Bloodgrass | Crimson-tinted surface grass block native to the biome. Drops itself when mined. |
| Ashen Soil | Dark, ashen dirt-like surface block. Drops itself when mined. |
Both blocks are fast to mine (about 0.6 seconds by hand) and appear in the Nature tab of the Creative inventory.
A custom undead mob that spawns naturally in the Bloodmoon Wastes at night (in groups of 2–4) and is summoned in waves by the horde controller. Key traits:
Every game tick at night the horde system:
Bloodmoon Wastes Night X Wave Y Horde Z/MAX Next Ns
Between waves the biome is quiet and the bar shows:
Bloodrot quiet... survived nights: N
Wave size and spawn frequency escalate with each passing night and each wave within a night. On later nights, waves are both larger and arrive faster.
Each Bloodrot Zombie is assigned a variant number on spawn. Variants are persistent and affect:
This means not all Bloodrot Zombies behave identically — stay alert when a fast or hard-hitting variant appears.
Bloodrot Zombies actively attempt to destroy blocks next to them, including common building materials used for walls and barricades. Simple block walls will eventually be torn apart by a determined horde, so layered or reinforced defenses are essential.
On every seventh night the horde controller:
The Blood Moon ends only when the script detects that enough time has passed — there is no skipping it.
Bloodrot Zombies drop loot when killed:
| Drop | Notes |
|---|---|
| Rotten Flesh | 0–2, increased by Looting |
| Bone | Common secondary drop |
| Arrow | Occasional secondary drop |
| Iron Nugget | Occasional secondary drop |
| Gunpowder | Less common secondary drop |
| Nautilus Shell | Rare secondary drop |
| Iron Ingot / Diamond / Carrot / Potato | Rare bonus drop (~6% chance, player/pet kills only; Looting helps) |
Bloodrot Zombies can also pick up and equip weapons and armor they find on the ground, making them progressively more dangerous if you leave gear lying around.
