Description:
/locate biome com_bloodmoon_zombie_wastes_kworzile:bloodmoon_wastes to find the Bloodmoon Wastes biome.Bloodmoon Horde Apocalypse transforms Minecraft survival into an escalating zombie apocalypse. Starting on Day 5, waves of increasingly powerful undead assault you every night. Every seventh night the world is plunged into a Blood Moon — a catastrophic event with storms, faster waves, and far deadlier enemies. The longer you survive, the harder the hordes become, advancing through nine named escalation tiers with unique stats and names.
A custom undead mob with its own texture and animations. It spawns naturally at night in any monster-friendly biome and in groups of 2–4. Like regular zombies it burns in daylight, can break doors, climbs obstacles, and will convert to a Drowned if submerged long enough. Baby variants exist and can jockey adults.
Bloodrot Zombie drops:
| Item | Notes |
|---|---|
| Rotten Flesh | Most common drop |
| Redstone | Uncommon |
| Iron Nugget | Rare |
| Gold Nugget | Very rare |
| Iron Ingot / Emerald / Golden Apple | Rare bonus drop on player kill (improved by Looting) |
A custom biome where Bloodrot Zombies spawn with higher frequency. Locate it with:
/locate biome com_bloodmoon_zombie_wastes_kworzile:bloodmoon_wastes
Every tick, your action bar displays critical survival info:
Days survived: X | Apocalypse begins Day 5Night X | Days survived: X | Horde: X | Next wave: Xs | BLOOD MOON (Blood Moon suffix appears only on Blood Moon nights)Every 7th night (nights 7, 14, 21, …) is a Blood Moon:
Horde zombies can damage and eventually break many common building materials. Plan defenses accordingly:
| Vulnerable Blocks |
|---|
| All wood planks (Oak, Spruce, Birch, Jungle, Acacia, Dark Oak, Mangrove, Cherry, Bamboo) |
| Glass |
| Oak Door |
| Iron Bars |
| Cobblestone |
| Stone Bricks |
Tip: Deeper materials like obsidian, deepslate, and brick variants are not on the vulnerability list — use them for core walls.
Each zombie is assigned a tier based on the current day. Tiers stack permanent buffs to speed, strength, health, and physical size:
| Day Reached | Tier Name | Speed Mult. | Strength Bonus | Health Mult. | Size Scale |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 5 | Bloodrot | 1.0× | +0 | 1.0× | 1.0 |
| 10 | Nuclear | 1.15× | +1 | 1.45× | 1.02 |
| 15 | Nuclear Mutant | 1.25× | +2 | 1.75× | 1.04 |
| 25 | Mutant Nuclear | 1.35× | +2 | 2.05× | 1.06 |
| 30 | Radioactive | 1.45× | +3 | 2.35× | 1.08 |
| 45 | Nuclear Sirenhead | 1.55× | +3 | 2.7× | 1.55 |
| 50 | Nuclear King Kong Boss | 1.65× | +5 | 5.0× | 2.2 |
| 75 | Mutant Goatman | 1.85× | +4 | 3.0× | 1.12 |
| 99 | Chernobyl Military Shooter | 2.0× | +4 | 3.4× | 1.18 |
Tier names and variant numbers are permanently displayed above each zombie's head, so you always know what you're fighting.
Days 1–4 — Preparation window. The action bar counts down to Day 5. Use this time to gather resources, establish a base, and stockpile food and weapons.
Days 5–9 — Bloodrot tier. Waves are small and slow. Test your defenses and get comfortable with kiting patterns before the scaling begins.
Days 10–24 — Nuclear & Nuclear Mutant. Zombies noticeably faster and beefier. Start replacing wooden walls and cobblestone with stronger materials.
Days 25–44 — Mutant Nuclear / Radioactive. Waves hit harder. Traps (lava channels, fall pits, suffocation traps) become valuable to supplement direct combat.
Days 45–49 — Nuclear Sirenhead. Noticeably larger and tankier enemies. Ranged attacks and mob funnels help manage crowds.
Day 50 — Nuclear King Kong Boss tier. A dramatic size jump (2.2× scale). These giants are extraordinarily tanky. Reserve your best gear for Blood Moon nights at this tier.
Days 75+ — Mutant Goatman / Chernobyl Military Shooter. Maximum difficulty. Blood Moon nights can spawn waves of 30 enemies with minimal downtime between them. Automated defenses, layered traps, and coordinated multiplayer are essential.
