Krab's Elementals

Overview

The first thing you'll want to do is find the bedrock tower that generates near spawn. Next, pick an element and start looking. Each one will have a structure that generates not too far away, with chest loot and mobs, including a blaze-like mob for each element. These will drop their rods, which will be the base of pretty much every crafting recipe in this mod. Craft it into a powder, use this to make charges that let you harness the power of the elements! Or keep the rods and make elemental weapons that each bring their own mechanics to the game! And of course, you'll want to keep some of each powder to craft with ender pearls and make their respective Eyes, which can be used to find a boss arena for each element. Defeat the boss, obtain their Core, and place it on the pedestal to display your victory! And who could forget the brand new tameable and breedable mobs available! Find their eggs in chest loot, hatch them, and watch them grow! Finally, tame them when they reach adulthood and breed them to bring them back from the brink of extinction! The elements are waiting for you, are you ready for them?

Light

The light pedestal can be found on the bottom layer of the bedrock tower. The light element is deeply connected to the plains biome, as the sun shines brightly upon its soil. The light is the sister element to the darkness, two ends of the same spectrum, two halves of the same whole.

The structure is the Light Outpost, in which Zombies, Skeletons and the new Glow mob can be found. Check the chest loot, not only will you find light based loot like gold and spectral arrows, but also a new item called the Angel Sac, which can be placed down. Leave it in a bright area for 10 minutes, and a baby angel will hatch from it!

The angel has 4 growth stages, in which it has 5, 10, 20, and finally 40 hearts. The first 2 stages are passive, attracted to light, fearful of the glow, and take damage from the dark. The third stage is neutral, with 3 attacks; a melee attack, the glow's signature light beam attack, and a flashbang attack that applies a new effect, causing your screen to go bright white. It also emits light. The 4th and final stage is most powerful: still neutral, but now hostile to the glow, stronger, and at the peak of its potential. The angel's growth can be sped up by feeding it light charges (make sure to shift right click, right clicking on its own will fire the charge and hurt the angel.)

Once the angel is fully grown, it is tameable with glow berries, and breedable with glowstone powder. When bred, it will place down an angel sac, which it will guard until it hatches. The angel also occasionally shed its feathers, giving an easy way to obtain these.

The Glow is so bright it smokes gently, and emits light in an area. It has a dangerous blue light beam, so watch out. You can use its rods to craft glow powder, which is used in the recipe for Light Charges, like Wind Charges, only they let you fire the glow's beam attack. Its rods are also a key component of the recipe for the Light Bow, a powerful upgrade to the bow that has infinite spectral arrows, applies the angel's blinding effect, and may give nearby targets the glowing effect automatically. It is also enchantable like normal bows.

The eye of light can be crafted with glow powder and ender pearls. When thrown it will guide you to the nearest Light Arena, where the powerful Solar Flare boss can be found. It emits light, and can scare away even fully grown angels. It has 3 attacks; the light beam and flashbang of the glow and angel, as well as a powerful laser that does devastating damage. Although, it only has as much health as an iron golem (50 hearts) so this qualifies more as an early game mini boss, which is easily handled with diamond armour and a shield. It drops a light core, which can be placed on the light pedestal, dropping a light key.

Parity Changes

  • The breeze now has 10 hearts to match the blaze and other mobs, and its loot table has also been adjusted.

  • Breeze rods now craft to a new item called breeze powder, which can then be crafted into wind charges. This may seem like an unnecessary extra step, but it does give you more wind charges overall.

  • Fire charges are now throwable.

  • Eyes of ender are now crafted with magma cream instead of blaze powder.
