Blazebound Netherflight Armor

Quickstart

1. Kill Blazes in the Nether and collect Blaze Powder and Diamonds.
2. Craft a Blazebound Upgrade Smithing Template using diamonds, blaze powder, and a Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template:
3. Take the template to a smithing table along with a piece of Netherite armor (or a Netherite tool/weapon) and Blaze Powder to upgrade it into its Blazebound version.
4. Craft and equip the full Blazebound armor set — Helmet, Chestplate, Leggings, and Boots.
5. Keep Blaze Powder in your inventory. While wearing the full set, hold down your fly key and watch your character take to the sky trailing fire.

Overview

Blazebound Netherflight Armor takes Netherite gear to the next level with fiery, Blaze-infused upgrades. Using a special smithing template made with Blaze Powder, you can transform any full set of Netherite armor and Netherite tools/weapons into their Blazebound counterparts. Wearing the complete Blazebound armor set grants powerful combat buffs and even the ability to fly, so long as you keep feeding it Blaze Powder.

What It Adds

• Blazebound Upgrade Smithing Template – a custom smithing template used to upgrade Netherite gear.
• Blazebound Armor Set – Helmet, Chestplate, Leggings, and Boots, each an upgraded Netherite armor piece with bonus effects.
• Blazebound Tools and Weapons – Sword, Pickaxe, Axe, Shovel, Hoe, and Mace, all upgraded from their Netherite equivalents.
• Fire-themed particle effects that appear around your feet while flying.

Crafting And Obtaining

Step 1: Craft the Smithing Template

Combine Diamonds, Blaze Powder, and a Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template to create the Blazebound Upgrade Smithing Template:

Once you have one template, you can duplicate it using more Diamonds and Blaze Powder:

Step 2: Upgrade Your Gear

Use the Blazebound Upgrade Smithing Template at a smithing table with the base Netherite item and Blaze Powder as the addition to produce each Blazebound item.

All Blazebound items behave like their Netherite counterparts for enchanting and durability purposes, but carry unique fire-based bonuses described below.

Abilities And Mechanics

Full Set Bonuses

Wearing the complete Blazebound armor set (Helmet, Chestplate, Leggings, and Boots together) grants:

• Speed I
• Strength I
• Resistance II
• Fire Resistance

These buffs refresh continuously while the full set is worn, but disappear the moment any piece is removed or swapped for something else.

Netherflight

The signature ability of the full set is flight. While wearing the complete Blazebound armor and carrying Blaze Powder:

• Toggling flight (the same way you would in Creative mode) consumes a unit of Blaze Powder to activate flight.
• Flying continues to periodically consume Blaze Powder from your inventory to stay active. If you run out of Blaze Powder, flight shuts off automatically.
• While flying, flame particles trail from your boots.
• If you're in Creative or Spectator mode, flight works freely without needing Blaze Powder.
• Removing any part of the armor set immediately revokes flight (outside of Creative/Spectator).

Blazebound Sword

The Blazebound Sword sets enemies on fire for several seconds when you land a hit, as long as you're carrying Blaze Powder (or are in Creative mode). Keep some Blaze Powder in your inventory to keep this effect active in combat.

Progression And Strategy

• Stock up on Blaze Powder before committing to the full armor set — it's the fuel for both flight and the sword's fire effect, so running out during exploration or a fight will shut down your abilities.
• Because upgrading requires full Netherite items, prioritize crafting or finding complete Netherite armor and gear before making the trip to a smithing table.
• Duplicate your smithing template early so you don't need to gather a full set of upgrade materials from scratch for every piece.
• Combine the armor's Netherflight ability with Fire Resistance to explore the Nether more safely, including lava-heavy terrain, while carrying extra Blaze Powder as backup fuel.
