Black Sun Tnt

Quickstart

1. Obtain Black Sun TNT from the Redstone Blocks tab in Creative mode, or craft it with obsidian, yellow dye, and TNT:

1. Place the Black Sun TNT block where you want the blast.
2. Ignite it with flint and steel or a fire charge, or power it with a redstone signal.
3. Stand well clear: Black Sun TNT creates a colossal explosion with a 16-block blast radius.
4. For a chain reaction, place multiple Black Sun TNT blocks near one another and detonate one. Nearby explosions will trigger the others.

Overview

Black Sun TNT is a placeable explosive block designed for enormous blasts and chain reactions. It behaves like TNT when placed, but its explosion is dramatically larger.

Use it for large-scale demolition, clearing terrain, or setting up explosive tests in a safe area.

How To Use

Place and Ignite

Hold Black Sun TNT and place it like any other block. Then use one of the following methods:

• Right-click the block with flint and steel
• Right-click the block with a fire charge
• Apply a redstone signal using powered redstone, a lever, a button, or another redstone component

The block is consumed when it detonates and does not remain as an item after the explosion begins.

Create Chain Reactions

Place several Black Sun TNT blocks within the area of the first blast. When one Black Sun TNT explodes, nearby Black Sun TNT blocks are also detonated, allowing you to create large cascading explosions.

Remove an Unlit Block

Mine an unlit Black Sun TNT block with a pickaxe if you need to remove it without igniting it.

Crafting And Obtaining

Craft one Black Sun TNT from obsidian, yellow dye, and TNT:

In Creative mode, Black Sun TNT is available in the Redstone Blocks creative inventory tab.

Abilities And Mechanics

• The explosion is centered at the block’s position.
• The blast radius is 16 blocks.
• A redstone signal ignites the block when it is placed next to an active signal or when a neighboring signal becomes active.
• Nearby explosions can ignite Black Sun TNT, enabling chain reactions.
• Ignited Black Sun TNT is removed before the explosion occurs, so it does not drop itself.

Progression And Strategy

• Test the blast in a remote area before using it near builds you want to preserve.
• Use spacing between blocks to control the timing and spread of a chain reaction.
• Build large explosive arrays for maximum destruction, but keep a safe distance from the entire blast zone.
• Keep unlit TNT away from accidental redstone signals until you are ready to begin the reaction.
