Description
The Big Glaive of Piercing is a powerful throwable weapon that flies straight through the air, piercing through any enemies in its path and dealing 8 damage to each one it passes through. Right-click to hurl the glaive forward, and it will travel up to 10 blocks before automatically reversing course and flying back into your inventory like a boomerang. The glaive will also return after striking a wall, so aim carefully and use its piercing ability to cut through multiple foes in a single throw.

Quickstart
- Craft the Big Glaive of Piercing using a Diamond Sword and two Sticks (see recipe below).
- Hold it in your hand and right-click to throw it.
- Watch it fly forward, pierce through enemies, then automatically return to your inventory.
Overview
The Big Glaive of Piercing is a throwable, boomerang-style weapon. Hurl it into a group of enemies and it will cut through every one it touches before flying back to you. It can also be found in the Combat creative tab.
Abilities And Mechanics
- Piercing: The glaive passes straight through every enemy it hits rather than stopping, dealing 8 damage (4 hearts) to each one.
- Boomerang Return: After traveling 10 blocks from the throw point, the glaive reverses course and flies back toward you, landing directly in your inventory.
- Wall Return: If the glaive strikes a solid block before reaching 10 blocks, it immediately reverses and returns to you.
- No Gravity: The glaive travels in a straight horizontal line with no arc, making it easy to aim at distant targets.
- Cooldown: There is a short cooldown after each throw before you can throw again.
- Safety Timeout: If the glaive cannot return (e.g., the owner is gone), it drops as a ground item so you never permanently lose it.
How To Use
- Right-click while holding the glaive to throw it in the direction you are looking.
- Line up multiple enemies to hit them all in a single throw.
- The glaive stacks to 1, so carry extras if you want rapid throws.
- You do not need to do anything to catch it — it flies back and adds itself to your inventory automatically.
Progression And Strategy
- The glaive excels against clustered mobs. Funnel enemies into corridors or tight spaces and throw through the entire group.
- Because it returns on wall contact, you can bounce it back early by intentionally aiming near a wall if needed.
- Combine with knockback or slow effects from other sources to keep enemies lined up while the glaive makes its return trip.
- Craft multiple glaives to chain throws back-to-back during the cooldown window.
