Description:
Adds the Bedrock Netherite Aegis armor set: craftable helmet, chestplate, leggings, and boots with custom enchanted netherite/bedrock visuals, unique worn textures, and unbreakable durability. Equip the full set to activate continuous, high-tier protection—each piece contributes Protection XIII and the complete set continuously grants Slow Falling X, Resistance XI, Regeneration XI, Absorption XIII, and Fire Resistance X. While worn, the set also creates an aura that freezes nearby water into ice and turns nearby lava into obsidian as you walk, letting you traverse hazards safely.
Mod Wiki
Bedrock Netherite Aegis
Quickstart
- Gather the crafting ingredients: a full set of netherite armor (helmet, chestplate, leggings, boots), plenty of netherite ingots, obsidian, and diamonds.
- Craft each Aegis piece at a Crafting Table using the recipes below.
- Equip all four pieces at once — the full-set bonuses activate the moment every slot is filled.
- Head into the Nether or any lava/water hazard and watch the aura reshape the terrain around you.
Overview
The Bedrock Netherite Aegis is a single, top-tier armor set built from netherite and obsidian. Each piece on its own already provides exceptional protection and can be further enchanted. Wearing the complete set unlocks a powerful suite of status effects and a passive terrain-altering aura that converts nearby water to ice and lava to obsidian, letting you walk through environments that would kill any other player.
What It Adds
| Piece | Armor Slot |
|---|
| Bedrock Netherite Aegis Helmet | Head |
| Bedrock Netherite Aegis Chestplate | Chest |
| Bedrock Netherite Aegis Leggings | Legs |
| Bedrock Netherite Aegis Boots | Feet |
All four pieces share the following traits:
- Protection XIII per piece (extremely high base protection value).
- Unbreakable — durability never degrades.
- Custom enchanted visual with unique worn (on-body) textures.
- High enchantability, meaning enchanting tables and anvils can apply powerful enchantments easily.
Crafting And Obtaining
All pieces are crafted at a standard Crafting Table. Each recipe wraps an existing piece of netherite armor with netherite ingots, obsidian, and diamonds. The recipes unlock automatically once you have the corresponding netherite armor piece in your inventory.
Helmet
Abilities And Mechanics
Per-Piece Protection
Every individual Aegis piece grants Protection XIII, making even a partial set dramatically more resilient than standard netherite armor.
Full-Set Status Effects
Equipping all four pieces simultaneously continuously applies the following effects. They refresh every second so they never expire while the full set is worn:
| Effect | Level |
|---|
| Resistance | XI |
| Regeneration | XI |
| Absorption | XIII |
| Fire Resistance | X |
| Slow Falling | X |
These effects are silent — no particles are shown, keeping your screen clear.
Fluid-Hardening Aura
While the full set is equipped, a 2-block radius aura surrounds you at all times:
- Water within the aura is instantly converted to ice.
- Lava within the aura is instantly converted to obsidian.
The aura updates every second, continuously solidifying any fluids that enter range. This allows safe traversal across lava lakes, flooded caves, and Nether terrain without taking fire or drowning damage.
Progression And Strategy
- Gather netherite first. Each of the four recipes requires a full netherite armor piece as a base, so completing the set demands significant pre-progression in the base game.
- Craft all four pieces before equipping. The powerful status effects and the fluid aura only activate when the complete set is worn. A partial set still offers Protection XIII per piece, but none of the bonus effects trigger.
- Use the aura offensively. Walking toward lava pools in the Nether solidifies them into obsidian pathways in real time, making previously impassable areas trivially safe.
- Enchant freely. The high enchantability of every piece means you can stack additional enchantments (such as Thorns, Feather Falling, or Swift Sneak) on top of the already-formidable base stats.
- No durability management needed. The set never breaks, so once crafted it is a permanent investment — focus all future resources on other gear or base building.
