Bedrock Blade

Quickstart

1. In Creative mode, obtain a Stonecutter, vanilla Bedrock, and a Stick.
2. Use the Stonecutter to turn Bedrock into Breakable Bedrock:

1. Either turn the Breakable Bedrock directly into a Bedrock Blade with the Stonecutter, or process it into Bedrock Ingots.
2. Equip the Bedrock Blade in your main hand and attack an entity using the normal attack control. Each successful hit triggers its devastating 20-damage strike.

You can also obtain the Bedrock Blade, Bedrock Ingot, and Breakable Bedrock directly from the Creative inventory.

Overview

Bedrock Blade adds a powerful sword, its crafting material, and a mineable bedrock-based block. The blade is designed for combat and applies a special 20-damage effect whenever it hits an entity.

How To Use

Bedrock Blade

• Equip the blade in your main hand.
• Attack an entity normally.
• A successful hit applies an additional 20 damage through the blade's special effect.
• The blade's normal weapon damage is configured as 19, so its ordinary attack and special hit are separate parts of the attack.
• The special effect only activates when hitting an entity; swinging at blocks does not trigger it.
• Target defenses and other combat effects can reduce the health lost from an attack.

Durability And Enchanting

The Bedrock Blade has 2,000 maximum durability. Each use has a configured 50–100% chance of damaging its durability, so it will eventually wear down during combat.

It is enchantable as a sword and can receive applicable sword-slot enchantments.

Breakable Bedrock

Place Breakable Bedrock like any other full block. Unlike ordinary Bedrock, it is pickaxe-destructible, but it is very slow to mine:

• Pickaxe-destructible
• Configured mining time: 50 seconds
• Explosion resistance: 1,200

Use a Stonecutter to process one vanilla Bedrock into one Breakable Bedrock.

Bedrock Ingot

Bedrock Ingots can be made from Breakable Bedrock in several ways.

Each method produces one Bedrock Ingot.

Craft the blade at a crafting table with two Bedrock Ingots and one Stick:

Abilities And Mechanics

• 20-damage strike: Every valid entity hit triggers the blade's special damage effect.
• High weapon damage: The blade also has a normal weapon-damage value of 19.
• Long-lasting weapon: Its maximum durability is 2,000.
• Sword enchantments: The blade uses the sword enchantment category.
• Mineable bedrock: Breakable Bedrock requires a pickaxe and takes a long time to destroy.

Progression And Strategy

1. Start with vanilla Bedrock and use a Stonecutter to create Breakable Bedrock.
2. Convert Breakable Bedrock into Bedrock Ingots using the method most convenient for your setup.
3. Craft the Bedrock Blade at a crafting table, or use the direct Stonecutter recipe.
4. Use the blade against high-health enemies where its additional 20-damage strike has the greatest impact.
5. Keep a spare blade or replacement materials available for extended fights, since the weapon can lose durability with each use.
