Mod Wiki
Beastbound Hearts
Quickstart
- Start with 3 hearts. Your action bar shows your heart total out of 20 and your number of Beast Bonds.
- Kill a mob to gain its matching heart item, increase your heart total by 1, and immediately receive that mob’s ability. Mobs without a dedicated heart give a Beast Heart.
- Keep the heart and use it from your hand to trigger its ability again. Using it does not consume it; heart abilities share a 12-second cooldown.
- Try different mob types to collect more hearts and unlock more abilities.
Overview
Beastbound Hearts turns mob kills into heart-based progression. Each credited kill gives you a heart item and increases your maximum hearts, up to 20. The heart’s ability activates when you kill its mob, and you can trigger it again by using the heart item.
Hearts are named for their source mob and have distinct icons. There are no crafting recipes for them; earn them by killing mobs.
What It Adds
The mod includes hearts for zombies, skeletons, creepers, spiders, endermen, blazes, witches, cows, pigs, sheep, chickens, iron golems, wolves, cats, bees, villagers, horses, slimes, piglins, ghasts, wardens, and phantoms, plus a general Beast Heart.
How To Use
- Earn hearts: Kill a mob. Its heart is placed in your inventory, or dropped nearby if your inventory is full.
- Gain hearts: Each kill raises your heart total by 1, up to 20. Further kills still give heart items and abilities.
- Use an ability: Select a heart and use it with your usual Bedrock use control. The heart stays in your inventory.
- Track progress: The action bar displays your heart total and Beast Bonds, the number of distinct mob types you have killed.
- Unlock heart abilities: Kill the corresponding mob to unlock its heart’s ability. Beast Hearts can be used without a specific mob unlock.
Abilities activate immediately on a credited kill as well as when triggered with a heart item. Their effects last about 5–12 seconds, depending on the heart.

Crafting And Obtaining
Hearts are earned by killing mobs rather than crafting them. Supported mobs give their named heart; mobs without a dedicated heart give a Beast Heart. Each kill also grants its ability and raises your heart total by one, up to the 20-heart limit.
