Mod Wiki

Azure Digi Dragon

Quickstart

  1. Find an Azure Digi Dragon in a bright surface area of a plains, forest, or savanna, or spawn one with its Spawn Egg from the Creative inventory. You can also use /summon com_azure_digi_dragon_awjnv7mz:mycustom.
  2. Feed a wild dragon a bone or raw salmon to try to tame it. Each attempt has a 30% chance of success, so you may need to try more than once.
  3. Once tamed, it follows you and helps fight enemies that attack you or that you attack.

Overview

The Azure Digi Dragon is a blue companion with 28 health points. It can walk over water and pass through doors, and it fights with close-range attacks and a ranged blue blaster.

What It Adds

  • The Azure Digi Dragon mob and its Azure Digi Dragon Spawn Egg.
  • Natural spawns in plains, forests, and savannas, usually in groups of one or two.
  • Taming, owner-following, combat, and healing behaviors.

How To Use

  • Find or spawn one: Wild dragons appear on the surface in bright conditions in plains, forests, and savannas. Use the Spawn Egg on the ground to place one.
  • Tame it: Use a bone or raw salmon on a wild dragon. Taming is chance-based; keep trying if it does not work.
  • Travel with it: A tamed dragon follows its owner and can teleport to catch up.
  • Heal it: Use raw salmon to restore 4 health, or cooked salmon or cooked beef to restore 8 health.

Abilities And Mechanics

  • Melee: The dragon attacks nearby foes. Close, unobstructed hits can deal an additional 3 magic damage.
  • Blue blaster: When hurt by another living attacker, the dragon can counterattack. The shot can hit through a clear path up to 14 blocks away, dealing 6 magic damage and slowing its target for 2 seconds. It can fire this counterattack about once every 6 seconds.
  • Protection: A tamed dragon targets monsters or players that attack its owner, and can join in when its owner attacks them.

Crafting And Obtaining

There is no crafting recipe for the dragon or its Spawn Egg. Find dragons in their natural biomes or use the Spawn Egg from the Creative inventory.

Defeated dragons drop 1–2 leather. They may also drop a bone; a player-killed dragon may drop blue dye.
