Description

Turn your base into an armed fortress—turrets, tiered barricades, and craftable guns with ammo.

Mod Wiki

Arrow Bastion

Quickstart

  1. Craft a weapon first — the Assault Rifle, Combat Shotgun, or Marksman Rifle — using the recipes below, then craft Ballistic Ammo to feed it.
  2. Equip the weapon in your hand and keep ammo in your inventory; the gun automatically draws from your ammo supply as you fire.
  3. Grab a turret placer item (Flame Turret, Shotgun Turret, Arrow Turret, or Advanced Auto Turret) and place it like a block facing the direction you want it to guard.
  4. Stock up on grenades, mines, and charges to defend chokepoints, and build barricades and barbed wire to slow down attackers approaching your base.
  5. For late-game firepower, craft or obtain missiles and use the Missile Control Tablet or Laser Target Designator to call in strikes on distant targets.

Overview

Arrow Bastion turns your base into a fully armed fortress. It adds automatic defense turrets, layered barricades, a full loadout of firearms and ammunition, and an arsenal of grenades, explosives, mines, and long-range ordnance. Instead of relying on vanilla combat alone, you can now build fortified strongholds bristling with automated defenses and heavy weaponry to hold off any threat.

What It Adds

Firearms & Ammo

  • Assault Rifle, Combat Shotgun, Marksman Rifle — hand-held ranged weapons
  • Ballistic Ammo — shared ammunition for firearms

Turrets (placed as structures that automatically engage nearby threats)

  • Flame Turret
  • Shotgun Turret
  • Arrow Turret
  • Advanced Auto Turret

Barricades & Fortification Blocks

  • Wooden Barricade, Metal Barricade, Barbed Barricade (tiered defensive walls)
  • Barbed Wire (area denial)
  • Steel Block, Reinforced Steel (strong building material for bases and turret housings)

Grenades & Thrown Explosives

  • Fragmentation Grenade, High Explosive Grenade, Flashbang, Smoke Grenade, Incendiary Grenade, Impact Grenade, Cluster Grenade, White Phosphorus Grenade

Charges & Mines

  • C4 Charge, Breaching Charge, Thermite Charge, Claymore Mine, Anti-Personnel Mine

Remote & Long-Range Systems

  • Remote Detonator — triggers placed charges from a distance
  • Laser Target Designator — marks targets for guided strikes
  • Missile Control Tablet — command interface for missile strikes
  • Orbital Strike Satellite Panel — calls down orbital ordnance
  • Orbital Kinetic Missile, Bunker Buster Missile, EMP Missile, Thermobaric Rocket
  • Mortar Strike Marker — calls in mortar fire on a marked location

How To Use

Weapons: Hold a firearm in your hand and keep Ballistic Ammo in your inventory. Firing consumes ammo automatically; if you run out, the weapon won't fire until you restock.

Turrets: Place a turret item like a normal block against a wall, floor, or defensive structure. It will face the direction it was placed and automatically engage hostile targets that come within range. Turrets have substantial health and resist being pushed, making them durable defensive fixtures. Different turret types offer different attack styles — flame for close-range area damage, shotgun and arrow for direct fire, and the Advanced Auto Turret for stronger all-round automated defense.

Grenades and mines: Throw grenades at enemies or groups for area damage, flash/blind effects, smoke cover, or fire. Place mines (Claymore, Anti-Personnel Mine) along approach paths — they detonate when triggered by nearby movement.

Charges: Place C4, Breaching, or Thermite charges against structures or blocks, then use the Remote Detonator to trigger them from a safe distance.

Missiles and strikes: Use the Laser Target Designator to mark a location, then use the Missile Control Tablet or Orbital Strike Satellite Panel to launch a strike on the marked position. The Mortar Strike Marker works similarly for calling in mortar fire. These are heavy area-denial tools — stand well clear before triggering one.

Barricades: Place barricades and barbed wire around your perimeter to slow enemies and funnel them into turret kill zones. Higher-tier barricades (metal, barbed) are tougher than the wooden tier.

Crafting And Obtaining

Core firearms and ammunition are crafted at a crafting table:

Turret placers, barricades, grenades, mines, charges, and missile/strike systems are obtained as items directly (via the creative inventory or commands) and placed/used in the world as described above.

Abilities And Mechanics

  • Turrets are stationary, high-health defensive structures that automatically detect and attack nearby threats once placed and oriented.
  • Explosives (grenades, charges, missiles) deal area damage that falls off with distance from the blast center, and can knock back nearby entities.
  • Mines trigger automatically when an enemy gets close, making them ideal for guarding blind spots turrets can't cover.
  • Remote Detonator lets you safely trigger placed charges without standing next to them.
  • Laser Target Designator + Missile Control Tablet/Orbital Strike Panel work together as a targeting-and-strike combo for calling down heavy ordnance on marked locations.

Progression And Strategy

Start small: craft a firearm and ammo for personal defense, and place a turret or two at your base entrance. As you gather more steel and resources, expand into tiered barricades to control enemy movement, and layer in mines and claymores to protect flanks. Once you're established, invest in heavier ordnance — grenades for crowd control, charges for demolishing structures, and missiles or orbital strikes for dealing with large-scale threats or clearing fortified enemy positions. Combining automated turrets, barricades, and remote-triggered explosives lets you build a genuinely defensible bastion that can hold off sustained assaults with minimal player intervention.
