Quickstart

1. Explore the Arcane Grove and gather Arcane Flowers, Arcane Ore, and Arcane Logs.
2. Smelt Arcane Ore into Arcane Shards:

1. Craft the inactive base wand from sticks, an Arcane Flower, and an Arcane Shard:

1. Craft a spell tome, then combine it with the Arcane Wand to make a specialized wand. For example, the Starbolt path is followed by . Hold the finished wand and use it to try its spell.
2. Start a berry patch with a Mana Berry Crop and harvest Mana Berries for food and crafting.
3. If you want to meet a Spellbinder, use its Spawn Egg on a block.

Overview

Arcane Wilds is an exploration, magic, farming, and building mod. The Arcane Grove holds the mod’s magical plants, ore, and wood; Arcane Shards are used in many recipes. Spell tomes let you turn an inactive Arcane Wand into a wand with a particular focus.

What It Adds

• Arcane Grove: A new biome, with Arcane plants, trees, and ore among the mod’s discoverable content.
• Magic: The base Arcane Wand, spell tomes, and specialized wands.
• Farming and food: Mana Berry crops, Mana Berries, and Mana-based meals.
• Building: Arcane wood building blocks and Lumen-themed lighting.
• Other gear: Arcane Fabric armor and the Spellbinder.

How To Use

Spell wands

The Arcane Wand is a crafting base, labeled inactive. Make a tome for the spell you want, then combine that tome with the base wand using the tome-to-wand recipe. Use the finished wand in hand to try its spell.

Wands can be enchanted, including with durability-focused enchantments.

Mana Berries and food

Grow Mana Berries from a Mana Berry Crop and harvest the berries for recipes. You can also combine a Mana Berry with cooked Mana-Infused Meat for Berry Jammy Mana-Mutton. Mana Cookies and Mana Berry Pies are other berry-based foods.

Spellbinder

The Spellbinder Spawn Egg lets you place a Spellbinder in the world. Spellbinders drop 1–3 Arcane Shards when defeated, and have a small chance to drop a tome.

Building materials and equipment

Arcane Logs and Stripped Arcane Logs can be made into Arcane Planks:

Arcane Fabric is made from Mana-Infused Wool and an Arcane Shard: . Use it to craft Arcane Fabric armor: helmet , chestplate , leggings , and boots . Arcane Shards can repair the armor.

Abilities And Mechanics

Each tome corresponds to a different wand focus. The Arcane Wand itself is inactive; craft a tome-based wand to try a spell. Arcane Shards are a useful resource to collect, as they are smelted from Arcane Ore and appear in many wand, food, and equipment recipes.

Progression And Strategy

Explore the Arcane Grove early to gather materials for your first Arcane Wand. Turn spare Arcane Logs into Planks for building, and keep Arcane Shards on hand for tomes, crafting, and armor repairs. A Mana Berry patch provides a renewable supply for the mod’s berry recipes.
