Quickstart

1. Craft the Arcane Laser Gun using the recipe below.
2. Hold it in your main hand or off hand and press - (minus) to open the Arrowforge Customizer menu.
3. Pick options from the customization categories to tune how your laser shots look, sound, and behave.
4. Aim and fire like a bow — draw back and release to send an arcane bolt at your enemies.
5. Gain XP levels to unlock more customization options as you play.

Overview

The Arcane Laser Gun is a magical ranged weapon that fires glowing arcane bolts instead of ordinary arrows. It behaves like a bow in your hand, but comes with a deep customization menu that lets you change its projectile type, power core, firing mode, on-hit effect, visual trail, particle bloom, sound, and animation. As you level up, more of these options become available, letting you gradually build a laser weapon tailored to your playstyle.

How To Use

• Wield it: Hold the Arcane Laser Gun in either hand.
• Open the customizer: Press - (the minus key) while holding the gun to bring up the Arrowforge screen.
• Choose your loadout: The customizer is split into tabs/categories such as arrowhead type, power core, firing mode, on-hit effect, laser trail, particle bloom, sound, and animation style. Click an option to select it — a chat message confirms your choice.
• Fire the weapon: Aim and release like a normal bow to launch your configured arcane bolt at enemies.
• Only one Arcane Laser Gun can be carried per stack (it does not stack with itself), so you always know exactly which one you're customizing.

Abilities And Mechanics

The gun's behavior is fully driven by the options you select in the Arrowforge Customizer:

• Arrowhead — determines the bolt's core damage effect, from a basic blue bolt up to armor-piercing beams, explosive plasma impacts, ricochet shots, gravity pulses, vampiric rays, and void lances.
• Power Core — changes charge speed and power, ranging from balanced cores to unstable reactors, mana conduits, and ultra-fast frames.
• Firing Mode — controls how the shot is triggered: suppressed single shots, curving targeted bolts, quick bursts of three, five, or seven bolts, or a returning arc shot.
• On-Hit Effect — adds an effect when the bolt strikes a target, such as freezing, igniting, teleporting you to the target, swapping places with it, stealing XP, launching it airborne, withering, shocking, weakening, or healing you.
• Charge Style — changes how you fire: classic charged shots, rhythm taps, quick snap shots, continuous fire, long power shots, volleys, or an XP-consuming heavy shot.
• Trail — cosmetic bolt trail colors and styles (red plasma, soul-blue, arcane purple, end-rod gold, rainbow, and more).
• Bloom — the particle burst that appears around the bolt, from compact sparks to nova bursts, rune blooms, storm effects, and sonic pulses.
• Sound — the audio played when firing, from balanced zaps to bass cannon blasts and crystal lasers.
• Animation — the visual motion style of the bolt in flight, including pulsing glow, orbiting motes, ripple waves, and prismatic beams.

Certain arrowhead and on-hit combinations grant lifesteal: killing a mob with a vampiric bolt or a lifesteal melee strike permanently increases your maximum health.

Progression And Strategy

Customization options are locked behind experience levels — you receive your first unlockable option at 2 XP levels, then gain another option every 5 levels after that. If you try to select a locked option, the game will tell you it's still locked and explain the leveling requirement.

As you gain levels, experiment with combining arrowheads, on-hit effects, and firing modes to create a build suited to your combat style — for example, pairing a piercing arrowhead with a freezing on-hit effect for crowd control, or a vampiric arrowhead with a heavy power core for sustain damage. Reaching the point where every category option is unlocked earns the hidden "Master of the Arrowforge" advancement.
