Description
Earn credits battling mobs, then craft or buy parts to build an animatronic defender.
Mod Wiki
Animatronic Workshop
Quickstart
- Craft and place an Animatronic Assembly Bench. It occupies two blocks, so leave the space beside it clear.
- Fight hostile mobs and collect Workshop Credits: a hostile mob killed by you awards 1–3 credits.
- Use the bench to open Workshop Parts. Buy the parts you need, or craft them yourself.
- Gather an Endoskeleton Frame, Servo Motor, Wiring Bundle, Logic Core, and one matching shell. Choose a build in the bench screen: Bear for Classic, Fox for Heavy, or Bird for Showtime.
- Leave room beside the bench for the animatronic to appear. Try building a Classic first; it can defend you and earns 1 credit per Minecraft day.
Overview
Build animatronics from crafted or purchased parts, then use them as defenders. You can also set up Security Cameras to alert you to nearby animatronics at night and Security Doors to block a passage.
What It Adds
- Parts and currency: Workshop Credits, Endoskeleton Frames, Servo Motors, Wiring Bundles, Bear, Fox, and Bird Shells, and Logic Cores.
- Animatronic Assembly Bench: A two-block workstation for purchasing parts and building animatronics.
- Three defenders: Classic, Heavy, and Showtime Workshop Animatronics.
- Nighttime threats: Scrap Stalkers and Neon Showbots, which can spawn naturally in the Overworld at night.
- Security equipment: A camera that alerts nearby players to animatronics at night, and a manually operated door.
How To Use
Assembly Bench and shop
Use either part of the placed bench to open the shop. Its part list shows your stock and credit balance. Buying a part spends credits and puts the part in your inventory.
Each build requires one Frame, Servo Motor, Wiring Bundle, Logic Core, and the shell that matches the selected model. Building consumes those parts only when the animatronic successfully appears. If the build cannot place it, clear space beside the bench and try again.
Defenders and credits
Workshop Animatronics attack hostile mobs. Each model has different strength and daily credit output:
| Model | Required shell | Health | Attack damage | Credits per Minecraft day |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Classic | Bear Shell | 100 | 18 | 1 |
| Heavy | Fox Shell | 180 | 26 | 2 |
| Showtime | Bird Shell | 90 | 14 | 3 |
A built animatronic drops its credits nearby, so collect them from where it is standing. Its daily earnings make a useful return over time, while the Heavy model has the most health and damage.
Security equipment
- Security Camera: Place it to watch an area. At night it scans nearby animatronics and alerts players within 16 blocks when one is detected.
- Security Door: Use it to toggle between open and closed. A closed door blocks passage; an open one has no collision.
Crafting And Obtaining
Craft these items in a crafting grid, or buy the seven animatronic parts at the Assembly Bench for credits.
| Item | Recipe |
|---|---|
| Animatronic Assembly Bench | |
| Bear Shell | |
| Bird Shell | |
| Endoskeleton Frame | |
| Fox Shell | |
| Logic Core | |
| Security Camera | |
| Security Door | |
| Servo Motor | |
| Wiring Bundle |
The shop prices are:
| Part | Price |
|---|---|
| Endoskeleton Frame | 8 credits |
| Servo Motor | 6 credits |
| Wiring Bundle | 4 credits |
| Bear Shell | 10 credits |
| Fox Shell | 10 credits |
| Bird Shell | 10 credits |
| Logic Core | 12 credits |
Killing hostile mobs yourself earns credits, making the shop another way to obtain parts without crafting them.
Abilities And Mechanics
Scrap Stalkers and Neon Showbots are hostile at night and target players then. They do not burn in daylight, but stop pursuing players when it becomes day. Spawn eggs for both are available for manually spawning them.
The Security Camera checks for animatronics at night; it does not operate the Security Door. Open or close the door yourself by using it.
Progression And Strategy
Start by crafting parts you can afford, and use mob bounties to buy the rest. Once you have a defender, collect its daily credits and put them toward additional parts or a stronger model. Keep the bench’s adjacent space clear for builds, and place cameras near approaches you want to monitor at night.
