Quickstart

1. Open a Crafting Table and craft the Catholic Bible using the recipe below.
2. Place the Bible anywhere in your inventory — you do not need to hold it.
3. Step into an area with hostile mobs and listen for the angelic chime that signals they have been cleansed.

Overview

Angelic Scripture adds a single powerful relic — the Catholic Bible — that passively protects you from all hostile mobs. Simply carrying it in your inventory is enough to activate a 24-block cleansing aura that checks for monsters every second and instantly destroys any it finds. The item has an enchanted glowing appearance to distinguish it from ordinary items.

Abilities And Mechanics

Cleansing Aura

• Trigger: Any hostile mob (monsters) within 24 blocks of you.
• Effect: Instantly kills all detected hostile mobs every second (every 20 game ticks).
• Activation: The Bible only needs to be somewhere in your inventory — any slot counts. It does not need to be in your hand or hotbar.

Angelic Chimes

Two distinct audio cues give you real-time feedback:

The chimes have individual cooldowns so they do not overlap or spam.

Crafting And Obtaining

Craft the Catholic Bible at a Crafting Table:

The Bible stacks to 1 — you only ever need one copy.

Progression And Strategy

• Early exploration: Craft the Bible as soon as you have a Book, a Gold Ingot, two Amethyst Shards, and a Lapis Lazuli. From that point on, hostile mobs effectively cannot reach you.
• Base defense: Keep the Bible in your inventory while working at your base. Mobs that spawn within 24 blocks are eliminated before they can attack, removing the need for walls or lighting at close range.
• Cave diving: The aura works in all dimensions and underground, clearing tunnels ahead of you as you move — listen for the cleansing chime to know mobs were nearby.
• Multiple players: Each player with a Bible in their inventory gets their own independent aura, so a group can cover a wider area collectively.
