Description:
The Adaptive High Guardian is a towering divine boss mob inspired by Mahoraga from Jujutsu Kaisen. Its pale, curse-marked skin and gold/bronze sacred-wheel motifs give it a distinctive and imposing silhouette. Unlike most mobs, this guardian learns from every hit it takes, growing progressively more resistant — and more dangerous — the longer the fight goes on. Defeating it requires creativity, variety, and careful resource management.

| Adaptive High Guardian | A powerful hostile boss mob that spawns in the Overworld |
| Adaptive High Guardian Spawn Egg | A pale, gold-accented egg to summon the guardian manually |
The Adaptive High Guardian spawns naturally throughout the Overworld in small groups of 1–6. It never despawns once it has appeared. You can also summon one instantly using its spawn egg.
The guardian has formidable base stats:
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| Health | 200 HP (100 hearts) |
| Melee Attack Damage | 15 (7.5 hearts per hit) |
| Armor | 10 points |
| Knockback Resistance | 80% |
| Follow Range | 40 blocks |
| Experience Dropped | 50 XP |
It will relentlessly pursue players and retaliates against anything that attacks it. The guardian also heals passively when it has no target, recovering a small amount of health every few seconds while idle.
The guardian's defining feature is its ability to adapt to damage sources. Every time you deal damage using the same weapon type or damage category (fire, fall damage, sword, axe, etc.), the guardian records a hit. The resistance it builds follows this progression:
| Hits with same damage type | Damage taken |
|---|---|
| 0 (first hit) | 100% |
| 1 | 80% |
| 2 | 60% |
| 3 | 40% |
| 4 | 20% |
| 5+ | 0% — fully immune |
Once it reaches full immunity to a damage type, it cannot be harmed by that source at all.
Each time the guardian successfully takes damage it gains a stack of buffs:
When you attempt to hit the guardian with a damage type it has fully adapted to, it briefly flashes with a Resistance V visual effect, confirming that the attack was completely negated.
Diversify your arsenal. The single most important rule is never to rely on one weapon or damage type. Bring a sword, an axe, a bow, fire, potions, and explosives — rotate between them freely.
Count your hits. You have exactly five hits with any given damage source before it becomes useless. Keep a mental count and switch before you cap out.
Interrupt its regeneration. The guardian only passively heals when idle with no target. Keep pressure on it so it never gets a free healing window, but rotate damage types to avoid triggering immunity.
Beware the snowball. Every hit that lands makes the guardian faster and, at higher adaptation levels, much stronger. A prolonged fight becomes increasingly punishing — deal damage efficiently and end the fight before it becomes fully buffed.
Use ranged options wisely. Its 80% knockback resistance means melee skirmishing is risky. Ranged weapons (bows, crossbows, tridents) let you deal damage while staying mobile, but remember they count as their own damage type toward adaptation.
Bring healing. With 15 damage per swing and high armor, even a single melee hit is dangerous. Golden apples, healing potions, and regeneration effects are strongly recommended before engaging.
