Mod Publishing Guidelines

How to publish mods, modpacks, and skins on Creative Mode

How it works

Include relevant pictures or videos for your creation when the page supports them. Feel free to add a cool cover picture or screenshots from Minecraft.
Test your creation before publishing it. Mods, modpacks, and skins should work as described when other players try them.
Publish or request review. Mods are reviewed by our team before appearing publicly. Modpacks and skins can be published from their pages once they meet the requirements.
Get discovered. Once published, your creation can appear on the Explore page.

Rules for All Published Content

Published content must be safe for all ages.
Titles, descriptions, images, videos, and tags must accurately represent the creation.
Do not publish spam, misleading duplicates, hateful content, harassment, or impersonation.
Only publish content that you created or that you have the right to share.

Rules for Mods

Mods must be unique and not already on the platform.
Mods must be functional and work as described.
Mods must include at least one image or video uploaded by you before publication can be requested.

Rules for Modpacks

Modpacks must include at least one mod.
Modpacks must be tested to make sure the included mods work together.
Modpacks should have a clear theme, purpose, or gameplay experience instead of being low-effort lists.
Do not publish modpacks that intentionally include broken, unsafe, or misleading mods.

Rules for Skins

Skins must render correctly in Minecraft and not be blank, broken, or intentionally obscured.
Skins must be appropriate for all ages and cannot include hateful, sexual, violent, or shocking imagery.
Do not publish skins that copy another creator's work unless you have permission to share it.

The team is ultimately responsible for all final decisions on publications and may choose not to publish, unlist, or remove content for any reason. But if you put in effort and make something awesome, it's very likely to be approved!
