Items or Blocks

Ever get tired of the long trek back to your base after an extended mining session? Or wish you could mark important locations without cluttering your world with beacons? C00Lgui is a simple but powerful teleportation tool that lets you bookmark locations and return to them with a thought (and a brief charging period).
Created by spiritofhallows, this mod adds a single item to your Minecraft Java Edition world: a distinctive black paper with a red outline and "c00lgui" text in white. It looks unassuming, but holding it in your hand gives you the ability to create personal teleport points anywhere in your world.
The mechanics are refreshingly straightforward. While holding the c00lgui item, shift and right-click on any solid block to plant a teleport point at that location. Want to mark your base? Done. Found a great cave system you want to revisit? Plant a point. Discovered a village worth returning to? Mark it.

What makes this interesting is there's no cooldown on placing points. You can drop teleport markers freely as you explore, building up a collection of locations. Each new point you place becomes your active destination, so the item always remembers your most recently marked spot.
When you're ready to return, simply right-click the c00lgui (without shifting). Here's where the balance comes in: you'll need to stand still for 6 seconds while the teleport charges. Move even slightly, and the teleport cancels. This prevents you from using it as a panic button during combat or dangerous situations. Once the charge completes, you're instantly whisked back to your last placed point.
The 35-second cooldown after each successful teleport keeps things from being overpowered. You can't spam teleports to cross vast distances rapidly or use it to cheese boss fights. It's a convenience tool, not a creative mode flight substitute.
The mod also includes practical safety measures. If your destination has been blocked by something since you placed the point (maybe you accidentally filled it with blocks), the teleport will attempt to place you in the first clear space above it. If that's not possible, the teleport simply fails rather than suffocating you. Similarly, the mod respects protected areas and won't let you teleport into regions where you don't have permission.
C00Lgui shines in several specific scenarios. For players maintaining multiple bases or projects across a world, it eliminates the need for minecart networks or nether portal calculations. Mark each location and travel between them as needed.
Explorers will appreciate being able to venture far from home without worrying about the return journey. Find something interesting, mark it, and keep going. When your inventory fills up or you're ready to head back, the teleport is there.
The tool also works well for collaborative servers. Since there's no limit mentioned on how many points you can place throughout your play session (just that the last one becomes active), you can gradually map out important community locations or resource gathering spots.
C00Lgui is available for Minecraft Java Edition. Once installed, you'll receive the black and red paper item. The best approach is to start small: place a point at your home base, venture out exploring, and get comfortable with the charge time and cooldown. You'll quickly develop a rhythm for when to place new points and when to conserve your current destination.
The shift-click placement is easy to remember, and the 6-second charge gives you a clear audio and visual cue about what's happening. Just remember not to move during those six seconds, or you'll cancel the teleport and waste the cooldown.
If you're looking for a balanced teleportation system that adds convenience without breaking Minecraft's core exploration loop, C00Lgui delivers. It's not flashy, it won't revolutionize how you play, but it solves a real problem: getting around efficiently in large worlds without losing the satisfaction of actually traveling and exploring.
The mod respects Minecraft's design philosophy while adding a useful quality-of-life feature. The charge time and cooldown prevent exploitation, while the free placement of points encourages you to explore and mark interesting locations. It's a simple addition that quickly becomes indispensable.
