Arlow — Minecraft Skin Design The skin should have a dark, intimidating, mysterious street-hero/assassin aesthetic, with almost the entire body built from blacks and charcoal grays and bright orange accents providing the contrast. 🧑 Head The Minecraft head should be almost completely pitch black, representing Arlow's shadow-like face. Skin/face: extremely dark black rather than normal human skin. No visible nose, mouth, or normal facial features. The face should look almost like a black silhouette. Two small, angular glowing white eyes should be the main facial feature. The eyes aren't round Minecraft eyes. They should look narrow and slightly slanted, almost like glowing slits. A few dark-gray pixels around the eyes can give the impression of shadows and depth. The top and sides of the head should have messy, spiky black hair. Hair should stick outward in uneven chunks rather than looking like a smooth helmet. The hair is primarily black, with a few charcoal-gray highlights to make the individual spikes visible. Minecraft appearance: From a distance, the head should basically look like a black cube with two tiny glowing eyes and jagged black hair sticking around the edges. 🧥 Torso The torso is covered by a long black/dark-charcoal coat. The main color should be: almost-black → charcoal → dark gray rather than pure black everywhere, because Minecraft's pixels need some contrast to show the coat. Front of coat The coat should have: A large dark central chest area. Two overlapping coat/lapel sections. Several diagonal dark-gray panels. Subtle gray stitching/details. A black shirt underneath. A bright orange scarf around the neck. The orange scarf is one of the most important identifying features. 🟧 Scarf The scarf should wrap around the upper neck and extend outward/downward. Use several shades: Dark burnt orange Strong orange Bright orange highlights The scarf should look like it is flowing behind him, so on the Minecraft skin it could extend onto the shoulder/outer-layer pixels. The ends should have little darker pixels representing the fringe/tassels. 🦾 Arms Both arms should be covered by the oversized coat. The sleeves should be mostly: black + charcoal gray with slightly lighter gray sections creating folds. Shoulders Each shoulder has a distinctive orange patch/accent. The orange shouldn't cover the entire shoulder. Instead, make it a small angular patch, approximately: dark orange → bright orange → dark orange This makes it look like the orange shoulder detail in the artwork. Sleeves The sleeves should have: Large black sections Dark-gray folds Thin gray highlights Small straps/buckles Dark cuffs The arms should look somewhat oversized because the original character has a large coat. 🧤 Hands / Gloves The hands should not have normal skin color. They should be black gloves. The artwork shows very prominent gloves with metal details, so I'd make the Minecraft hands: Black fingers Charcoal palm Dark-gray knuckle sections Small silver/gray metal bands The fingers should be represented with different shades of black rather than trying to literally draw five fingers onto the tiny texture. 👖 Pants The pants should continue the same dark aesthetic. Mostly: Black Charcoal Dark gray There should be multiple angular panels rather than one flat black color. Some pixels should create the appearance of: Belt straps Seams Folded fabric Pockets Reinforced sections Belt The character has a very noticeable belt around his waist. The Minecraft version should have: Black belt Dark-gray strap Small silver buckle Possibly a tiny chain detail The buckle should be one of the few metallic-looking pixels on the torso. ⛓️ Chains This is another cool detail from the artwork that should survive the Minecraft conversion. A small silver-gray chain should hang from the belt. Since Minecraft textures are only 64×64, it shouldn't be a perfectly realistic chain. Instead: gray → dark → gray → dark → gray in a diagonal pixel pattern. That gives the impression of a hanging metal chain. 👢 Boots The boots should be almost entirely black. They should have: Black upper sections Charcoal-gray highlights Dark-gray soles Small silver/gray buckles or straps The boots should look heavy and tactical rather than like ordinary Minecraft shoes. 🎨 Overall color distribution I'd use roughly: 70% — Black / near-black 20% — Charcoal / dark gray 7% — Orange 2% — Silver/gray metal 1% — Glowing white That is important because the character's design is supposed to feel almost completely swallowed by darkness, with the orange scarf and glowing eyes immediately catching your attention.
