Description:
Adds the iconic Buster Sword as a powerful melee weapon with stronger innate knockback, a much faster Limit Break activation (~1 second) and a shortened on-screen name display; its Cross-Slash special has been optimized to run much smoother and use far fewer particles. Use the sword like any other melee weapon and trigger its special attacks and Limit Break with the same inputs you already use for the mod. The old Sharpening Stone has been removed — repairs are now done with Netherite Ingots (combine the sword with a Netherite Ingot in a crafting grid for a full repair or use an anvil with Netherite Ingots as usual), the sword is fireproof and will not burn in lava or fire, and it will never fully disappear: when durability reaches 1 it becomes unusable (no combat or Limit Break) until repaired.

User request: 1. It seems that the crafting recipe is not easily being handled with the Sharpening Stone, so just completely remove it (and any mention of it anywhere) entirely. Instead, simply have it so that: A. The Buster Sword can be fully repaired by crafting (or using an Anvil) with it and a Netherite Ingot, just like it used to do. B. The Buster Sword actually cannot FULLY break and disappear, instead, once it reaches 1 durability, it will no longer be usable (either for combat or Limit Breaks), and needs to be repaired in order to be usable again. Additionally, it cannot be destroyed by lava or fire, just like Netherite equipment. Also, if you can restore the old mod description that was there on V4 (minus the Sharpening Stone stuff), that would be great.

User request: 1. The Sharpening Stone currently doesn't have a working recipe, despite showing one in the mod page, it can only be gotten through Creative currently, so please fix that. As well as that, it should also be able to be crafted with a Sword or Sword-like weapon to fix it fully, but currently can only repair weapons in one hand by holding it in another and right clicking, which is neat, but please also allow the crafting to repair method as well, thank you. 2. The sound delay works perfectly as intended, but it does have the unfortunate side effect of making it harder to use Limit Breaks, so how about halving the time between activating the Limit and it coming out, with the text showing being shown for less time in order to fit the new time. Adjust the sound as well for this if you wish, it shouldn't have to be affected too much. 3. The Buster Sword itself doesn't really feel that distinct (just a massive, hulking blade), so maybe make it have innately stronger knockback than most other swords. Not to an insane degree, but noticeable at least (similar to Knockback II). 4. Finally, Cross-Slash currently lags the game with the effect it uses, maybe use a different method of it slashing to not lag out the game so much, especially when spammed (granted, it isn't really possible now to spam it, but still).

User request: Buster Sword Description: "Once used by an ex-SOLDIER...this massive sword is slow, but very powerful. With both hands wielding at once, utilize the ancient Limit Breaks with right click (charged by enough kills, and can switch between them)." What it does: A new sword that has the same attack speed as a Netherite Axe, but deals a lot more damage, and is treated as a Sword with how it attacks and the Enchantments that can be put on it. However, this sword has a special function, as when you kill a mob, you will have a Kill Counter that when charged up, allows you to unleash a selected Limit Break by right clicking! You can switch between your unlocked Limit Breaks by crouching and right clicking at the same time, but your Kill Counter will be reset by doing this. There are 4 levels of Limit Breaks, with 2 in each level (except the last one), with the first Limit in each level being unlocked either automatically or through total kills with the Buster Sword, and the second Limit in each level requiring uses with the first Limit. The final Limit Break is special, requiring you to do a specific task and unlocking all previous Limit Breaks before unlocking it. In Creative Mode, all Limit Breaks will automatically be learned, and can be used without filling up the Kill Counter. Limit Break #1-1: Braver (unlocked automatically, needs 10 kills to unleash). Leap a high distance in the air before landing (with no fall damage) and automatically attacking the closest enemy, dealing 3x your normal damage. Limit Break #1-2: Cross-Slash (unlocked by using Braver 5 times, needs 10 kills to unleash). Slash 3 times at a nearby enemy, with only the last one actually doing damage. Only deals 2x damage, BUT it Slows and Blinds that enemy for a good bit of time. Limit Break #2-1: Blade Beam (unlocked by defeating 50 hostile mobs with the Buster Sword, needs 15 kills to unleash). Send out a projectile that deals 3.5x the Sword s damage to a mob that you point it at. Afterwards, that enemy will send out the same projectile to up to 5 nearby mobs (not you), only dealing 1x damage. Limit Break #2-2: Climhazzard (unlocked by using Blade Beam 6 times, needs 15 kills to unleash). Leap towards a mob you're pointing at and drive your sword into them, before leaping back far (with no fall damage). After the final leap, deal 4.5x your Sword's damage to that mob. Limit Break #3-1: Meteorain (unlocked by defeating 100 hostile mobs with the Buster Sword, needs 20 kills to unleash). Leap up in the air and launch 6 non-destructive and non-firestarting Ghast fireballs in the direction you're aiming, with each dealing 1.5x the damage of your Sword. Limit Break #3-2: Finishing Touch (unlocked by using Meteorain 7 times, needs 20 kills to unleash). Send a large-sized gust of wind towards the direction you're aiming, able to hit multiple targets at once. If they are not boss-related, and they have 25 HP or under, they are INSTANTLY killed. Otherwise, it sends them high up in the air and deals 3.5x your sword's damage. Limit Break #4: OMNISLASH (unlocked by killing a Warden with the Buster Sword, needs 30 kills to unleash). Has a long start-up animation, and once it's finished, launch towards the mob in your direction and do 15 attacks, with each one except the last dealing 1.77x the Sword's damage. The last attack will take much longer, but will deal 7.77x the Sword's damage instead. If the target is killed during the onslaught, you will immediately hop onto another nearby mob and continue until it's done. What it looks like: A almost comically oversized grey-colored broadsword with a unique blade shape, with the blade taking up 90% of the size, and a wooden handle (the cross-guard in-between the blade and the handle has the same width as the blade, and has 5 metal dots on it). Right above the cross-guard, it has 2 holes in it to hold orb-like objects in both of them.' Edit v2: Part 1: For the sword itself, make it so that if you craft it with itself and a Netherite Ingot, you can repair it back up to full, so that you don't have to worry about it breaking as long as you manage it well. Part 2: For Braver (Limit Break #1-1), make it so that you do the attack at the end of it, not the beginning. Part 3: For Climhazzard (Limit Break #2-2), make it so that you leap far backwards and slightly up instead of just high up, to differentiate it from Braver more. Part 4: Meteorain (Limit Break #3-1) is currently launching the projectiles from Blade Beam, so instead, make it launch Ghast Fireballs that are non-destructive and don't spread fire, but still do the same damage in a explosive radius. Also, make it so that they automatically shoot out at mobs below with homing, instead of lazily dropping down onto the ground. Finally, try to find a way to make this move not lag out the game so much. Part 5: Finishing Touch (Limit Break #3-2) will now send up mobs FAR higher than it did before, usually enough for them to take lethal fall damage if they survive the initial gust. Part 6: OMNISLASH (Limit Break #4) currently unleashes its 15 attacks WAY too fast, to the point where several hits are wasted on a single mob if it does not kill it instantly due to a i-frame issue, so put enough of a delay between attacks so that all of them can hit properly. Part 7: Gaining Kill Counter points, unlocking Limit Breaks based on kills, and specific targeting Limit Breaks will now work on both Hostile and Neutral mobs. Passive mobs are still safe from this. Edit v3: Part 1: None of the Limit Breaks that send you far distances make you resistant to fall damage, meaning that being in Survival and using them will likely lead to your demise soon after. Make it so that when using any Limit Break, you will briefly (for about 10 seconds afterwards) not take any fall damage, meaning that you won't die after using your Limit Break...at least, from fall damage. Part 2: After unlocking any of the #x-2 Limit Breaks, using the #x-1 Limit Breaks will always display a message in the chat about unlocking the #x-2 Limit Breaks after you've already unlocked it, on EVERY use. Have it so that it only makes that message ONCE when you actually unlock that Limit, per Sword. Part 3: Additionally, make it so that when you do enough kills to use your currently selected Limit Break, it'll display a message in the chat that that Limit is ready to use. Part 4: Meteorain will now actually be explosive with the projectiles, doing AoE damage and destroying non-resistant blocks (using the same rules as TNT). It still does the same damage as before, and doesn't destroy any dropped blocks or make any fire. Part 5: Make a special message and SFX pop up (your choice on that one) when you unlock OMNISLASH, along with giving OMNISLASH a bit more flair and cool SFX/effects to go along with it. It's the best out of the Limit Breaks, so it deserves to have a bit more style. Edit v4: 1. The main difference/change I want to be made is for activating a Limit Break making a sound, and using the included sound as that sound for all of them, and the actual effect of the Limit Break to be delayed by that time until it's done (about 2 seconds), which after that, the actual Limit Break will occur. The other sounds that may be included with that Limit Break (other than the new activation one) will be untouched. 2. Additionally, instead of some text at the middle of the screen or the chat box when activating a Limit Break, instead, a red box with a white outline will appear at the top of the screen saying the name during the activation sounds, to make it feel a bit more epic. The included Reference Image will show a bit of what this box will look like, but if it's too hard to make out, then don't worry, you can just wing it. 3. Finally, instead of using a Netherite Ingot to repair the Buster Sword/Limit Buster Blade (whatever you want to call it), instead make a new item called a "Sharpening Stone" that's primarily made with iron ingots, gunpowder, ender pearls, and a Iron Axe in the recipe, which can be used in crafting or a Grindstone alongside any vanilla Sword or any other weapon tagged with a Sword (primarily the Buster Sword) to instantly repair it to max, regardless of its durability or enchanting status, with the Sharpening Stone having 10 uses before breaking.
