This mod brings Ikkaku Madarame’s Zanpakutō: Hozukimaru into Minecraft Bedrock with full Shikai and Bankai transformations, animated weapons, chained polearm mechanics, dragon-themed Bankai, and voice-acted abilities. Features multi-stage weapon forms, realistic polearm combat, and cinematic Bankai release.
Manage versions and create new iterations of this mod.
This will create a new mod based on "Hozukimaru" with your modifications. The original mod will remain unchanged and you'll be credited as the author of the remix.

User request: Create a sword called Hozukimaru. Has the same damage as a Iron Sword. Edit v2: Hozukimaru now gets a purple sheath held in the offhand every time the sword is in the main hand. The purpose of the Sheath is to parry mobs. The Sheath disappears from the off hand if the Hozukimaru leaves the main hand. Edit v3: Remake the Sheath texture to be like this reference image. Edit v4: Change the Hozukimaru textures thickness to match the sheaths texture. Edit v5: Change Hozukimaru to be a silver version of the sheath texture. Edit v6: Apply the change also to sword in the main hand as well. Edit v7: Hozukimaru has this look again. Edit v8: Going forward the Hozukimaru will be known as Hozukimaru Sealed. Edit v9: Add a new weapon called Hozukimaru Shikai. Sneak + long press for 1.2 seconds to give the player Hozukimaru Shikai while holding Hōzukimaru Sealed. Shikai: Hōzukimaru Upon activation: play a metal reconfiguration sound and show red energy particles around the player. Weapon model changes into a three-section staff (spear, mid-chain, and halberd). Damage: 11 attack damage, longer reach. Special ability: “Rotating Spear Strike” — when sneaking and attacking, it performs a circular AOE attack dealing moderate damage to all nearby mobs. Add a short particle trail when swung. When holding Hōzukimaru Shikai Hozukimaru Sealed Sheath disappears. Use reference image for Hozukimaru Shikai. Edit v25: Helmet — Ikkaku’s Battle Helmet (Ryūmon Helm) Originally cosmetic, now grants functional buffs tied to Bankai. When worn: Increases player defense slightly (+2 armor). Adds +10% attack speed and +5% movement speed during Bankai. Reduces incoming explosion damage by 25%. Displays faint glowing veins along the helmet that pulse in rhythm with Bankai’s energy scaling. When durability on the weapon drops below 1000, helmet glows bright red and emits smoke. If the player removes the helmet, Bankai power scaling pauses until re-equipped. Edit v26: Display what the enchantments are for each transformation of the Hōzukimaru when holding each version. Edit v32: Add sound to the mod. Shout Bankai Ryūmon Hōzukimaru upon activation of the bankai. Edit v33: Change the spoken words to the following shout Bankai then 10 seconds later say Bankai Ryūmon Hōzukimaru. Edit v34: Remove the text about the enchantments above the hotbar. Replace it with this meter ui. This will appear during bankai as a visual indicator that progresses as the strength of the bankai gets stronger. Edit v35: Retexture the Shikai with this reference image. Make sure the silver point is only the tip of the weapon. Edit v36: Retexture the main hand weapon when in Bankai it has a gap thats not intended. Edit v37: Make the bankai main hand and off hand weapons look like this Edit v38: Give the dragon smash attack a damage multiplier between 1.1 and 1.3x attack damage. Edit v39: Hozukimaru Shikai only transforms into Hozukimaru Bankai with sneak + long press. Have a new mode in Shikai where it gets a copy of the main hand shikai but it has red tassel on the end of it instead of a silver tip. To access this only long press for 1.2 seconds. To go back to regular Shikai Long press again after 5 seconds has past. Edit v40: The Tassel variant appears in the offhand when the shikai is held and the player is long pressing. Edit v41: When the shikai has the red tassel variant active add a new ability when the player presses sneak + use the shikai gains a reach of 6 blocks and it gains a trapping effect when a mob walks into its path. Edit v42: Restore the bankai texture from the first version of its introduction. Edit v43: Make sure the blades of bankai are accurate. Edit v44: Can you improve the texture for the offhand bankai blade. Can you address the blade in the main hand moving without player interaction. Also improve the main hand bankai texture too. Edit v45: When Shikai is activated play the voice line "Grow, Hōzukimaru". When the shikai red tassel offhand is activated play the voice line "Split Apart". Edit v46: The Shikai voice lines are not working. Shikai tassel should equip to the offhand when the player long pressing when holding the shikai in main hand. Edit v47: When the player long presses during Shikai the main hand shikai stays in the player's hand. The Tassel shikai stays in the offhand as long as the player doesn't long press again. The voice line that is said for shikai should be only the first line for shikai when going from sealed to shikai. The other line should only play when the player has the Tassel Shikai in the off hand. Edit v48: When the player is sneaking + long press in shikai make sure the offhand weapon is unequiped from it as both are combined in the sequence to get bankai. Edit v49: Make the Tassel shikai have a red tassel on it when held in the offhand. Edit v53: Increase damage of each Hozukimaru by 1. When the player sneaks + long presses for 1.2 seconds while holding Hōzukimaru Sealed in the main hand without the sheath in off hand give the player Hozukimaru Shikai. Edit v16: Change how Hozukimaru Sealed becomes Hozukimaru Shikai. It now has a button called Shikai that appears above the hotbar when holding Hōzukimaru Sealed. When you press the button Hozukimaru Sealed becomes Hozukimaru Shikai. Edit v17: Add Bankai: Ryūmon Hōzukimaru sword. Sneak + long press for 1.2 seconds to give the player Ryūmon Hōzukimaru Bankai while the player is holding Hōzukimaru Shikai. Bankai: Ryūmon Hōzukimaru is the reference image. Edit v18: Add a new blade to the off hand when you have Ryūmon Hōzukimaru Bankai in the main hand. Add it to the creative menu. When Bankai stops or Bankai leaves the main hand this disappears.Its name is Ryūmon Bankai Blade. Use the reference image provided. Edit v19: Add a helmet to the bankai. It looks like this Edit v20: Damage: 18 attack damage, slower attack speed. Adds a Bankai aura (red-black swirling energy around the player). Special move: “Dragon Smash” — charging attack (hold sneak + attack) creates a shockwave explosion that damages all hostile mobs within 8 blocks and knocks them back. Bankai has a limited duration (45 seconds) then reverts to Hōzukimaru Shikai with cooldown (30 seconds). Sneak + long press for 1.2 seconds to activate Sealed while holding Hōzukimaru Bankai. Edit v21: Show how long Bankai has left in terms of time. Show how long until the player can activate Bankai when on cooldown. Fix the helmet texture as it doesn't show up on the player. Edit v22: 10 Small Edit Prompts (for refinement): 1. “Make the Shikai transformation animation slower with a burst of white particles.” 2. “Add red dragon-shaped particles circling the player during Bankai activation.” 3. “Make Dragon Smash leave a scorch mark on the ground after impact.” 4. “Add durability drain over time while Bankai is active.” 5. “Include a cooldown message when the player tries to reactivate Bankai too soon.” 6. “Give Ikkaku’s Hōzukimaru a faint red glow in Shikai form and brighter aura in Bankai.” 7. “Add a 50 percent chance for the spear’s chain section to extend briefly on attack for extra reach.” 8. “Make a unique sound effect when the weapon breaks or reverts after Bankai.” 9. “Add a UI indicator showing Bankai duration remaining.” 10. “Allow the player to shout ‘Bankai!’ using text or sound when transformation occurs.” Edit v23: Bankai Mechanics 1. Infinite Duration, Durability Drain: Bankai has no time limit. Total durability: 6000. Loses 1 durability every 5 seconds passively, and additional durability on attacks. If durability reaches 0, the Bankai shatters and reverts to base form. 2. Damage Scaling Over Time: After activating Bankai, the weapon gradually increases its attack power the longer it’s maintained. Starts at 24 damage, linearly scaling to 48 damage over 40 seconds. After 40 seconds, the weapon stays at maximum power as long as Bankai remains active. Dual-Hand Combat (New Feature): Every second melee swing automatically triggers an off-hand strike animation with the secondary blade. Off-hand attack deals 35% normal damage and produces crossed red slash particles. Slight delay between main-hand and off-hand hits for rhythm. Plays a distinct metallic clash sound when both blades strike together. Works only during Bankai, disabled in Shikai and Base form. Edit v24: Enchantments for Hōzukimaru Base Form (Sealed Katana) Purpose: Reliable, disciplined blade — not flashy yet. Sharpness V → standard clean cutting edge, fits his swordsmanship before releasing. Unbreaking III → represents Ikkaku’s endurance in combat. Sweeping Edge III → enhances basic melee crowd control. Shikai — Hōzukimaru (Three-Section Spear) Purpose: Faster, more flexible, and aggressive. Sweeping Edge III → fits spinning spear AOE attack. Knockback II → matches the whip-like chain’s force on hit. Unbreaking IV (if allowed) → to handle the jointed segments. Impaling V → if treated as a spear, enhances power vs mobs. Quick Charge I (Custom/Attribute) → if your mod maker supports attribute-like buffs, could slightly reduce attack cooldown to reflect Ikkaku’s fluid transitions. Custom: “Chain Flow” (Custom) — slightly extends melee reach after each hit for 5 seconds. Bankai — Ryūmon Hōzukimaru Purpose: Immense, heavy, destructive power that grows the longer it’s used. Core Enchantments: Sharpness VII → exceeds normal limits; fits its explosive strength. Fire Aspect II–III → represents heat and pressure of dragon energy. Unbreaking VI → helps manage the 6000 durability system without making it immortal. Knockback II → makes hits feel heavy. Efficiency IV → can represent faster swing control as he adapts during long fights. Power Scaling Tie-In: after 40 seconds, increase enchantment effect multipliers slightly to simulate the weapon’s “growth.” Special Custom features: “Dragon’s Wrath” — each successful hit increases attack damage by 0.5 temporarily (stacks up to +8). “Relentless Spirit” — reduces durability drain when health is below 30%. “Twin Fang” — improves off-hand strike damage or speed by 25%. Helmet — Ryūmon Helmet Purpose: Symbol of pride and combat drive; enhances stamina and focus. Protection IV — general toughness. Blast Protection III — fits Ikkaku’s resistance to explosions from Dragon Smash. Thorns II — returns some damage, echoing his willingness to take hits. Respiration II — gives extra combat endurance feeling. Unbreaking III — keeps helmet intact for long Bankai battles. Custom enchantments: “Battle Focus” — increases melee crit chance slightly during Bankai. “Adrenal Surge” — grants small regen or speed boost when durability drops below 25%. Edit v25: Helmet — Ikkaku’s Battle Helmet (Ryūmon Helm) Originally cosmetic, now grants functional buffs tied to Bankai. When worn: Increases player defense slightly (+2 armor). Adds +10% attack speed and +5% movement speed during Bankai. Reduces incoming explosion damage by 25%. Displays faint glowing veins along the helmet that pulse in rhythm with Bankai’s energy scaling. When durability on the weapon drops below 1000, helmet glows bright red and emits smoke. If the player removes the helmet, Bankai power scaling pauses until re-equipped. Edit v26: Display what the enchantments are for each transformation of the Hōzukimaru when holding each version. Edit v32: Add sound to the mod. Shout Bankai Ryūmon Hōzukimaru upon activation of the bankai. Edit v33: Change the spoken words to the following shout Bankai then 10 seconds later say Bankai Ryūmon Hōzukimaru. Edit v34: Remove the text about the enchantments above the hotbar. Replace it with this meter ui. This will appear during bankai as a visual indicator that progresses as the strength of the bankai gets stronger. Edit v35: Retexture the Shikai with this reference image. Make sure the silver point is only the tip of the weapon. Edit v36: Retexture the main hand weapon when in Bankai it has a gap thats not intended. Edit v37: Make the bankai main hand and off hand weapons look like this Edit v38: Give the dragon smash attack a damage multiplier between 1.1 and 1.3x attack damage. Edit v39: Hozukimaru Shikai only transforms into Hozukimaru Bankai with sneak + long press. Have a new mode in Shikai where it gets a copy of the main hand shikai but it has red tassel on the end of it instead of a silver tip. To access this only long press for 1.2 seconds. To go back to regular Shikai Long press again after 5 seconds has past. Edit v40: The Tassel variant appears in the offhand when the shikai is held and the player is long pressing. Edit v41: When the shikai has the red tassel variant active add a new ability when the player presses sneak + use the shikai gains a reach of 6 blocks and it gains a trapping effect when a mob walks into its path. Edit v42: Restore the bankai texture from the first version of its introduction. Edit v43: Make sure the blades of bankai are accurate. Edit v44: Can you improve the texture for the offhand bankai blade. Can you address the blade in the main hand moving without player interaction. Also improve the main hand bankai texture too. Edit v45: When Shikai is activated play the voice line "Grow, Hōzukimaru". When the shikai red tassel offhand is activated play the voice line "Split Apart". Edit v46: The Shikai voice lines are not working. Shikai tassel should equip to the offhand when the player long pressing when holding the shikai in main hand. Edit v47: When the player long presses during Shikai the main hand shikai stays in the player's hand. The Tassel shikai stays in the offhand as long as the player doesn't long press again. The voice line that is said for shikai should be only the first line for shikai when going from sealed to shikai. The other line should only play when the player has the Tassel Shikai in the off hand. Edit v48: When the player is sneaking + long press in shikai make sure the offhand weapon is unequiped from it as both are combined in the sequence to get bankai. Edit v49: Make the Tassel shikai have a red tassel on it when held in the offhand. Edit v53: Increase damage of each Hozukimaru by 1. Edit v54: Make the description of the mod be a summary not a list of edits made to it. Fix in games mod description too.
