Description:
The Gamemode Terminal is a handheld retro computer that appears automatically in your inventory (and its own creative tab) when you start a single-player world. Right-click or press G while holding it to open a multi-page GUI offering one-click controls for switching game modes, changing weather, time and difficulty, giving items, applying potion effects, locating biomes or structures, teleporting by XYZ coordinates, toggling gamerules, and executing basic entity commands—all without OP or cheats. Navigate between functions via the menu page or use the quick-jump buttons to go straight to the feature you need.
Manage versions and create new iterations of this mod.
This will create a new mod based on "Gamemode Terminal" with your modifications. The original mod will remain unchanged and you'll be credited as the author of the remix.
This will create a new version of "Gamemode Terminal" for Minecraft Java 1.20.1. The original mod will remain unchanged.

User request: create me a item, which looks like a terminal, once opened it will pull up a "computer " looking GUI which gives me multiple options on the termial, THIS terminal will allow me to gain access to gamemode without "OP" or "Cheats enabled" basically bypassing all permissions. Edit v2: when opening the terminal with right click it doesnt open, also with the recipe change the command blocks to something survival obtainable like dragon eggs, also change the "adventure mode" button to the bottom of the page and the spectator button where the adventure mode button was basically swapping places, could u also change the adventure mode button to a new sub section called "next page" which brings up another page which allows you to control stuff about the world, like weather, day/night time, difficulty selection. and a item give section which allows you to pick items you want to give yourself via survival mode Edit v3: on page 2, the buttons dont fit inside the box could you fix that, even if you have to seperate some of the buttons into page 3 and page 4 so it all fits flush inside the box. if you make up to page 3 could u make a page 4 for giving potion affects like when u press a button it gives speed ect and make a button for all the potion affects. if u made up to page 4 please make this page 5 :) Edit v4: Add a page 6, which is to locate Biomes/structures which will tell you the nearest one via the /locate command, could you also move every page over by one so page 1 will now be page 2 and so on, and on the new page 1 will be a menu page which will have buttons to quick go to a specific page (named by the corrisponding page) Edit v5: On the menu page, on all the buttons could u remove the (page "number") section and just have the name of the page on it, could u also add another page for teleport which allows you to type in where you want to go such as the coords (1 1 1) but each X Y Z is in its own box so it doesnt look confusing and when u typed in where u want to go you press a button saying "Teleport" dont forget at the top of the teleport page it will have a box which states the username of the character that opens it so it doesnt mess up the command. could u also add a page for "gamerule" which will allow you to toggle true/false for each of these commands ("doDaylightCycle, doWeatherCycle, keepInventory, mobGriefing, doMobSpawning") could you add another page which will be for entity control which will include /summon,/kill @e[type=!player], /data get entity @e[type=...]: Edit v6: can you make it so whenever you start the world, the gamemode terminal is in your inventory when you spawn into a new world. Could you also make it so it has its own creative section in the creative menu so it's easily findable. could u also make 5 other items (we are no longer going to be touching the gamemode terminal this is gonna be 5 new items) the 5 new items will be the tools called "Dev Tools" so (Dev pickaxe, Dev Shovel, Dev Sword, Dev axe, Dev Hoe) All these items will be a command block texture with the outline of the actual tool so for example a axe with a command block skin on it. Edit v7: Could you change the tools textures to something different, its a bit glitchy where some of the tools are see-through, could u also give all the tools all the attributes of a "netherite" version, so same speed however the durability of a netherite tool is usually 2031 could you make it 9999 instead, could you also make a gui for each tool so when u press "G" on the tool it opens the gui, so for the pickaxe it will have a section to "apply fortune 3" a section to choose the speed of the digging of the tool (so efficiency 1,2,3,4,5), and the ability to enable silktouch, also have a button to enable 9x9 mode so when u mine a block it mines 9x9 around it (toggleable), on the axe do the exact same as the pickaxe with the same buttons, and the same with the shovel, on the hoe make it so it has the same buttons, minus the silktouch, and have 9x9 ability to hoe 9x9 crops around it. Edit v8: Change the textures for all the tools as all of them are the texture of the pickaxe, so i want specific textures for each one, shovel, pickaxe, axe, sword, hoe, in my last update i asked for the command block texture on the tools, can we change it to look like a dark matter texture so more purply, also add a gui like u did for the pickaxe for when u press g for the sword, it will have all the enchants (sword specific) which u can choose the specific number of enchant u want on it so for the ones that allow up to 4 on it (sharpness 4) however looting can only go to 3 so work out what number a enchant can go up too and allow me to choose what i want it to go to. Also, in the tools, when I try doing the 9x9 mode, it doesn't work; it states "unable to modify player data." Is this because the tools aren't identifying as tools? See if you can fix it. Make sure all the tools identify as specific tools, so a pickaxe is A PICKAXE and a shovel is a shovel, and so on. They should all have attributes as the netherite variant of it, just with the durability of 9999. Edit v9: the tools arent working, they arent identifying as tools so the game wont accept them, please change them to identity as netherite tools so, the pickaxe will be a "netherite pickaxe", the shovel will be a "netherite shovel" and so on, keep the texture as is as it looks good. Edit v10: The Dev tools (Dev pickaxe, dev shovel, dev sword, dev axe, dev hoe)should behave exactly like Minecraft tools, not blocks. Use the correct base classes like PickaxeItem, AxeItem, etc., and register them as items. Include proper mining tags like minecraft:mineable/pickaxe and minecraft:needs_netherite_tool. Use item/handheld as the model parent so they render correctly. Each tool should have high durability (9999), fast mining speed (10.0) Edit v11: delete all the aspects of dev tools so "pickaxe,hoe,shovel,sword,axe" but keep the TERMINAL
