Description:
When a zombie, husk, drowned, zombie villager, or special Dormant Infected(was the placeholder entity so it doesn't have anything different from a regular zombie now that it can also infect you but i decided to not ask for the AI to remove it) slays you, you become a zombie instead of dying, when becoming a zombie you can't control your character anymore. There are currently 2 ways to become human again: 1:Getting cured by another player(the same way villagers get cured, takes some time, there isn't any shaking visual effect and the golden apple doesn't disappear but i'm out of credits so i can't do anything but it still works after you wait some time) 2:Dying and respawning
Manage versions and create new iterations of this mod.
This will create a new mod based on "Dormant Infected" with your modifications. The original mod will remain unchanged and you'll be credited as the author of the remix.
This will create a new version of "Dormant Infected" for Minecraft Java 1.20.1. The original mod will remain unchanged.

User request: zombie that looks like: Basicly a zombie but it will have its arms put down instead of the way they normally look like and acts like: make a zombie infection mod a new zombie variant(named the infected zombie) kills a player they will become a zombie but unable to control their character(with every input even the hotbar blocked but the pause will still work of course and the player will be muted instead of blocking the chat and for inventory they will still be able to see it but not change anything on the inventory) Edit v2: Alright since right now the infection just gives the player status effects so that they can't mine, move or attack could you rework it so that it makes the player's character behave like a zombie afterwards? Edit v3: There is one bug right now: once a player gets infected they start duplicating non stop(and i got a "got squished too hard death" so to fix this i believe the zombie was attacking the zombified player, so instead of keeping them in the same gamemode you could change their gamemode to spectator which would prevent all of that if my theory is correct and when the zombie puppet dies they get sent back to survival gamemode Edit v4: Alright now changes for the targetting system:the zombie will also target any mob a regular zombie normally does(and also any mobs that attack it) also since now if the zombie puppet dies it's as if the player just got revived in the spot where it died could you make so that it also sets their health to 0 and not just sent they straight back to survival(it would do both instead)? Edit v5: Alright now make the zombie puppet use the same items the player that got infected was using Edit v6: Alright now maybe a fake survival hud so it looks like the player actually turned into one of them:the selected hotbar item will show the zombie's held item if the zombie is holding a off-hand item it will render the off-hand slot and the inventory will also show the zombie's currently used armor on the armor slots Edit v7: Alright i think i wasn't really clear enought on the armor part anyways i meant it for when the player looked at their inventory also could you try making the hud the closest as possible to minecraft's survival hud(with the player's actual currently selected slot being the item the zombie is using and the rest is the actual items in the player's inventory)? Edit v8: Alright so what about husk, drowned and zombie villager variants(husk will turn players into husk puppets on kill, drowned will turn players into drowned puppets on kill but zombie villager will turn them into regular zombie puppets on kill) Edit v9: Alright now make regular minecraft zombies also able to infect players turning them into a zombie puppet Edit v10: make so that the infected HUD shows the puppet's health(or you can do so that the puppet constantly changes the player's health to match it and make it show the player's health) Edit v12: Alright now i believe the final touch should be the players being curable like how a zombie villager can be cured(if the zombie villager has weakness, a player can right click them while holding a golden apple to start the cure process which takes some time)
