Overview
The Divine Forge Hammer is a single epic-tier item that replaces every tool and weapon you would normally carry. It mines and harvests virtually any block at high speed, deals heavy melee damage with strong knockback, and comes loaded with powerful enchantments from the moment you first use it. Its enormous durability pool and built-in Mending mean it effectively lasts forever under normal play.
What It Adds
| Property | Value |
|---|
| Rarity | Epic (purple name) |
| Base Damage | 9 |
| Durability | 4,096 |
| Stack Size | 1 |
| Enchantment Slot | Pickaxe |
How To Use
- Mining / Harvesting — Hold the hammer and break blocks as you would any tool. It functions as a pickaxe, axe, shovel, hoe, and sword simultaneously, breaking stone, ores, wood, dirt, sand, snow, and more at high speed. It even mines Obsidian and Ancient Debris (at a slightly reduced but still fast rate).
- Melee Combat — Attack mobs or players normally. Each hit deals 9 base damage and launches the target with a strong knockback burst, sending enemies flying in the direction you are facing.
- Enchantment Application — The hammer's divine enchantments (see below) are applied automatically the first time you swing, use, or mine with it. You do not need to visit an enchanting table.
Abilities And Mechanics
Pre-Applied Enchantments
The hammer automatically carries the following enchantments — no enchanting table required:
| Enchantment | Level |
|---|
| Mending | I |
| Unbreaking | III |
| Efficiency | V |
| Fortune | III |
These enchantments are checked and re-applied passively while the hammer is in your hand, so they are never lost.
Haste Boost While Mining
Each time you mine a block with the hammer, you briefly receive Haste II, making each swing feel even faster and reinforcing the "godlike" dig speed.
Hammer Smash Knockback
Hitting an entity launches it with a powerful directional knockback based on where you are looking. This can be used offensively to throw enemies off cliffs or create distance in a fight.
Universal Tool Tags
The hammer counts as a sword, pickaxe, axe, shovel, hoe, and trident for all game mechanics — enchantments, loot tables, and tool-specific interactions all apply as expected.
Crafting And Obtaining
The Divine Forge Hammer is crafted at a Crafting Table. The recipe unlocks automatically once you have a Netherite Ingot, Enchanted Golden Apple, Diamond, or Blaze Rod in your inventory.
It can also be repaired in an Anvil using:
- Netherite Ingot — restores 500 durability per ingot
- Diamond — restores 500 durability per diamond
Because the hammer has Mending, experience orbs from mining (boosted by Fortune III) will naturally repair it during normal use, making manual repairs rarely necessary.
Progression And Strategy
- Early goal: Obtain a Blaze Rod and at least one Diamond, Netherite Ingot, and Enchanted Golden Apple, then craft the hammer as soon as possible to consolidate your entire tool inventory into one slot.
- Mining: Fortune III on a universal digger means every ore vein drops significantly more — prioritize diamond, emerald, and lapis veins for maximum yield.
- Combat: Use the hammer's knockback smash to control enemy positioning. Knock creepers back before they explode, or push groups of mobs off ledges.
- Durability: Mending + Unbreaking III means the hammer essentially sustains itself through regular mining. Keep XP flowing and you will rarely need to repair it manually.
- Enchanting further: The hammer uses the pickaxe enchantment slot with an enchantability of 22 (better than iron, slightly below gold), so it can accept additional enchantments at an enchanting table or anvil — consider adding Silk Touch situationally (note: Silk Touch and Fortune are mutually exclusive, so keep a backup or use an anvil book swap).
