Description:
This mod adds the Creeper Echo Cat, a matte-black nocturnal cat with a glowing jack-o'-lantern face that appears once per Overworld night near a random non-creative/spectator player, silently sneaks up on the surface, freezes briefly if you look at it, plays a creeper-priming sound when close, then flees and despawns — if you hit it it drops rare (90%) or epic (10%) loot before disappearing. When it “primes” the encounter is dramatized with layered cave and heartbeat sounds, expanding rings and clouds of smoke, soul-fire, end-rod and portal particles, and it briefly blinds, slows, and nauseates the target; if seen before the scare it glows with an Enderman scream, and it vanishes with a dramatic teleport/puff effect while being hit triggers a totem-and-wither-like explosive particle-and-sound burst.
Manage versions and create new iterations of this mod.
This will create a new mod based on "Creeper Echo Cat" with your modifications. The original mod will remain unchanged and you'll be credited as the author of the remix.
This will create a new version of "Creeper Echo Cat" for Minecraft Java 1.20.1. The original mod will remain unchanged.

User request: cat that looks like: black with spotted patterns, red eyes. and acts like: This mob shall only spawn once a night within a loaded chunk near the player. It will try to sneak up onto the player and jump scare them with a sound from the creeper mob. The sound will be the creeper charging up to explode. Once the sound has been made, it ll attempt to run away out of sight and despawn. If the player sees them before they make the sound, the mob will freeze for 1 second before running away. If the player hits the mob, the mob will drop a "rare" item or a very rare chance to drop an "epic" item before immediately despawning. a "rare" item will be identified as: one golden apple, a single music disc picked at random, a single mob head picked at random, 5 emeralds. an "epic" item will be identified as: one dragon egg, one totem of undying, one heavy core, a beacon, a conduit, one ancient debris.' Edit v2: Change the appearance: black body with a jack-o-lantern face. Change how it spawns: One spawns every night, after one spawns no more spawn for the rest of the night. Edit v3: Go over the top with special effects when the mob scares the player, despawns, and when they get hit.
