Description:
Soul of the World is a mystical trinket that automatically adapts to your surroundings, granting powerful passive abilities and combat effects based on the biome you're currently in. Right-click the item to activate or deactivate it - when active, it will provide different benefits depending on your location, such as fire resistance and speed in deserts, water breathing in oceans, night vision underground, or enhanced fire immunity in the Nether. Additionally, the item enhances your combat abilities with a chance to inflict biome-specific effects on enemies you attack, like blinding foes with sand in desert biomes or freezing them in cold environments.

User request: Project Title: Biome Essences & World Souls Core Concept: A mod that adds unique, craftable Essences for each biome (e.g., Desert Essence, Forest Essence) and powerful World Souls (Overworld Soul, Nether Soul, End Soul) that combine the powers of their respective biomes. These items grant players special passive abilities and combat effects. Detailed Mod Content: Biome Essences: Acquisition: Each essence is crafted in a specific biome using a new workstation, the "Essence Infuser". The recipe for each essence requires 4-8 blocks native to its biome (e.g., Sand, Cactus for Desert; Ice, Packed Ice for Snowy Tundra). Effects (Examples): Desert Essence: When equipped, gives a 15% chance on hit to blind and slow the enemy (sand particle effect) for 3 seconds. Forest Essence: Grants passive health regeneration during the day when the player is near trees. Ocean Essence: Provides Water Breathing and increased swimming speed. Taiga Essence: Gives resistance to freezing and strength during snowfall. Cave/Underground Essence: Grants Night Vision and a chance to find extra ores when mining. World Souls: Acquisition: World Souls are crafted by combining all the Biome Essences from that dimension in an advanced crafting table. Overworld Soul: Crafted from Desert, Forest, Ocean, Taiga, Plains, etc. essences. Nether Soul: Crafted from Nether Wastes, Crimson Forest, Warped Forest, Soul Sand Valley essences. End Soul: Crafted from End Midland, End Highlands, End Barrens essences. Effects: Each World Soul grants the player the combined effects of all its constituent Biome Essences. These are extremely powerful end-game items. New Items & Crafting: Essence Infuser: A new block crafted with 4 iron ingots, 2 diamonds, and 3 redstone blocks. It must be placed in the target biome to craft the corresponding essence. Essence Pouch: A craftable item that allows players to store and easily switch between multiple equipped essences. Soul Amulet: A special item to hold a World Soul, granting its full set of powers. Technical Implementation: Item Type: The Biome Essences should function as special curio/trinket items that can be equipped in a dedicated slot (compatible with mods like Curios API). Effects: Implement effects using persistent potion effects or custom ability handlers. The blinding attack effect should use a custom particle effect (e.g., swirling sand). Progression: The mod should be balanced with a clear progression path: gather biome-specific resources -> craft Biome Essences -> combine for World Souls. Additional Notes for Balance: Essences should have a crafting cost that requires mid-game resources. World Souls should be very expensive, requiring rare items from their dimensions (e.g., Nether Star for the Nether Soul, Dragon Egg shard for the End Soul) in addition to the essences. Consider adding configurable options for effect chances, durations, and crafting recipes.
