A Magic Grimoire that has several spells that affect players, mobs, and bosses. There is multiple pages containing {Type of Magic} ranked least costly to most costly, based on a mana system that shows up when the Grimoire is in the off-hand slot.
To use this item, the Grimoire must be placed in the off-hand slot. When right clicking with it equipped, a menu showing all spells unlocked, will appear in the middle of the screen. Spells can be bought using mob drops in the player's inventory, with low level spells only needing basic drops whilst higher level spells in more complex and harder to obtain drops.
Players can bind their selected spells to Hotbar slots with the command in chat: /bind spell {Spell Name} {Slot 1-9}
Once spells are bound, the Grimoire can be taken out of the off-hand and place anywhere in the inventory, with the spells and their bound Hotbar slots still in affect, so long as the Grimoire Remains in their inventory.
To use the spells in the Hotbar slots, a staff must be equipped in the off-hand. Cycling through the 9 Hotbar slots, changes the spell in use. A 1 second swap time between each is the cooldown by default.
Grimoires can be crafted using {Select Items Here} or Obtained through trades with the Arcanist, a Villager type mob that spawns in its own tower within the world.

Create a potion named {potion name} that can be brewed in a brewing stand by brewing a/an {ingredient name} into an awkward potion. When the potion is done brewing, the player can drink this potion to give themselves {effect}. The effect should last for {duration}. The player should be able to additionally brew either redstone dust, or glowstone dust into this potion, but not both. If redstone is brewed into this potion, the duration of the potion effect should be multiplied by {multiplier}. The player may only brew redstone dust into the potion to increase its duration {number of times}. If glowstone dust is brewed into this potion, the level of the potion effect applied to the player should be increased by {number of levels}. The player may only brew glowstone dust into the potion to increase the level of the effect applied to the player {number of times}. Keep the Grimoire in the off-hand. Use the command /lock to make the grimoire not interactive, allowing spells to be used without interacting with it. Use the command /unlock to make the grimoire interactive again.
This Grimoire can be crafted using Two Water Buckets and a Book.
Spells:
Water Bullet - Shoots a condensed Water Bullet dealing 2 Damage
Surge - Sends a water wall forwards, pushing enemies and players back 30 blocks
Torrent - Sends a water shockwave out in in circular wave from the player out 30 blocks
Wave Rider - Summons a Water Wave for the player to ride on.
Water Wall - Creates a barrier out of water that blocks projectiles
Sacred Waters - Heals the player for 2 hearts every 1 second, lasting 5 seconds
Water Sphere - Creates a 5x5x5 Water Sphere that traps enemies and players, raises them into the air, then slams them into the ground, dealing 5 damage.
Split The Seas - When walking near water, creates a split around the player spanning 5x5x30
Celestial Steps - Allows the player to walk water for 120 seconds. Has a 30 seconds cooldown
Nymph's Blessing - Allows the player to walk on lava, turning it into Obsidian on source blocks, lasting 120 seconds. Has a 30 second cooldown
Each of these spells need to have their won VFX using the in game water as a base, adding particles and effect for different spells.
